Wrap up of January photos

So the first snow melted and left us with just brown stuff.. Bella loving on her cow
These goats, They keep us on our toes, but honsetly i'm glad that we got them. It's made a big difference on our farm..
She will only do this for Bella, which i guess is a-ok for me.
She got to be part of a free throw contest at school. She got 2nd place for her age.
This cat knows her human. Every night she has to be right on him at bedtime. She will often wait until he's asleep and then come find him. I have quite a few pictures of them.
Look at that smile.. it's so crazy.. three missing teeth in the front.
We had a tree of cardinals one day.

Bella had a tunnel entrance into her fort.
The kids worked hard one day cleaning a lot of stuff getting ready for Xmas at our house. Their reward was magnetic tiles
We got to help celebrate our good buddy's birthday. We love you H!
Just a normal evening at our house
Silly kids at supper time.. we did Brinner and it was a big hit
We had a chilly day and night so we did a game night.. Cheaters Monopoly, Blokus and farmer dice

So at this time we thought the snow was deep.. little did we know what was coming...
I moved some of the snow myself ..so the kids had a new pile
This boy.. all bundled up.. clearly he had a few different outside outfits. ;)
She is all about science and animals.. She discovered living things in the water in the turtle tank
Our newest creature tomake it's home at Brownie Lodge.
 Little Goat, Big Cow
Fun at school. we crammed a week of Catholic Schools week into two days due to a lot of snow days

The first cold cold night..and i wake up to see the Cow out by the goats. Oh I was pretty worried, but all was ok.. everyone made it through the bitter cold.
Morning chore update: -18 degrees at our shed. No wind! (Thank you trees and placement of shed) Carmel was out by the goats this morning. Goats got coats since they seemed to be shivering a bit. Chickens are just mad to be locked up for day number 3. Ducks are rocking in the shed. All water is currently unfrozen and everyone has plenty of feed. 1 chores time down three more to go in this bitter cold .

a lot of messes were made to keep us entertained for the two days were were stuck home
Chores update: everyone seems in good spirits . No frozen waters, goats got their coats put back on since the sun has gone down. Everyone got treats , even the chickens who were fighting over oranges and oats ðŸ™‚
2 down 2 to go. Btw -8 with no sun feels colder the. -18 with sun
 Morning chore update :day two:-21
Well it was so colder today then it was last night. Everyone has frost on them but hopefully the sun will help warm everyone up. The shop can’t seem to keep up so hope the sun helps that too! Oh spring come soon!

Evening chore update : -5 ... all the animals are ready to be done with this chilly weather though the cow and goats seem to be ok. I’m almost getting use to the cold. Only hiccup was the shop heater needed to be relit .. but with some help from a friend, it was fixed and already heating up ðŸ™‚
Final update and looking forward to the warmer weather , not rain though.

Christmas gatherings

So we had two Christmas gatherings in January, one with my friends and one with Josh's family.
The first was held at a local community room instead of someones house. This was nice since the kids had room to play around and no one had to deal with a big mess.  Everyone was playing games, we had a bunch set up . The kids played so well together and the adults got a chance to catch up. We don't see each other often, but we can pick up right where we left off.

So honsetly there were adults there, but i didn't really take their picture since we were either eat , talking or doing both while playing games.
The last holiday gathering was at my house right before the polar vortex kicked in..it was already cold, so we were stuck inside but still had a lot of fun.
