Sledding and Fox’s

Today(Tuesday) Tracey and the kids come down for a visit. It was great to see them again. They got here around lunchtime and we had a yummy lunch of grilled Cheese. Bella was so happy to see her cousins and aunt.

WE let hte kids play for a bit in the house before bundleing up for outside. The kids wanted to go sledding and given our farm, it’s a great place for it!

Bella unfortunately didn’t enjoy it unless it was my sister pulling her on flat ground, then she had a blast.

We came inside for hot cocoa and let hte kids play some more. Bella had so much fun with her cousins. She was laughing and laughing. She was sad to see them go!  I was too! We might just have to find a time to see them again soon!

Grandparents Monday

On MOmday While Josh had a chiropractor appointment, Bella and I went to visit Great Grandma and Great Grandpa.

Bella really enjoys going over to visit. She first has to play with all the stuff animals on the couch. Most of them make music and Bella has fun pushing the button to do so. I bought along one of bella’s new toys, so she had fun playing with that with Great Grandma. Bella also enjoys running around the living and kitchen, where Great Grandma gives her cookies.  Then there is climbing on exercise equipment that is around the living room. Bella loves to climb these days! Bella never wants to go, and sad to go, but we will be back.

Our weekend

Our weekend was a bit crazy. With Christmas being on a friday it really confused both Josh and me. We keep thinking the weekend was monday and tuesday.  Taking all of friday off, pretty much meant that Saturday Josh was busy working outside.  OUr highlight of the day was going otu to help with barn chores.  we had three new calves by sunday night. That makes my job of feeding bottles longer now. We also have so much milk that we cna’t ship from the fresh cows that our bigger calves are getting two bottles at each feeding.

Sunday we went to church and found otu Greg was home!  So we ended up staying at church a long time. Good think it was an early mass! then we hit up the grocery store before heading home.

Once we got home, it was lunch time and then nap time for Bella. Josh was again outside doing chores.  Once Bella got up we headed outside to help with milking chores. I feed bottles to the calves, clean the walkway and push up feed. Well Bella fell asleep in the barn.. it was about 2 since she had woken up.  A cow was calving so I hung out in the barn with Brownie. Well just after bella woke up, the cow calved, a little heifer named Cali, and Bella got to see her first calf be born. She thought it was cool and wanted the calf. We didn’t let her near it, as the mother was there and it was pretty slimy.  Side note: Bella now goes in the barn and walks up to the cow that gave birth’s butt and thinks another calf is suppose to come out.

Sunday night was another late one, as no supper was made ahead of time, so yeah Late nights, not so fun!

Christmas

For some reason, Bella knew it was christmas morning, as she was up by 6am. That made it a bit nice, as I got her and me all ready to go so when Josh got in the house he just needed to get ready to go. It was raining, but the roads were ok.

we left at 8:15 to head to my mom’s house. We got there at 10:20ish. Tracey and family were already there when we got there. So that was nice. We quickly changed Bella into her christmas dress that all of hte girls in the family have woren starting with my sister. I didnt’ want to put it on her before we left home just in case she would eat something and spill on the dress. She did mange to nap pretty much the whole way!

So after bella was dressed and Josh and I grabbed a quick snack, we started to open presents. Bella had fun opening them and if it was a toy that made noise or food, that’s all she wanted.  I got a sewing machine, dvd/vcr combo player, more parts of my nativity and some great movies. It was a good xmas. Bella came home with plenty of toys including My first purse and a wonder pets bead maze and lots of books!

By the time we were done it was time to start eating and clean up the wrapping paper and what stuff belong to whom. Lunch was yummy ham, cheese potatoes, mac n cheese, rolls, fruit, cheese, and cookies!!

After stuffing ourselves, the men went to play chess and the woman played Monoploy, until my aunt dar arrived and my cousin Jeremy and his girlfriend Kasey. It was great to see him again and meet Kasey.

Once they left it was time for us to pack up and head back home. The drive home was not as nice as we hit some snow showers and a bit of sleet, but we made it in pretty good time.  We helped with chores and then had supper.  It was an early bed time for us!

Still working on pictures…I wish i had better internet

Xmas Eve

I’m going to break up our xmas since it happened over a couple of days.

Xmas eve was part of our crappy weather. It was raining, so that made for slush everywhere. In the morning, Josh went to find a new snow blade for the tractor. Bella and I went along on the trip, but it was neverwracking since the roads were still icy.

Once we got home, Josh called Tony for some help, and Bella took a nap. I worked on cleaning up which is something i spend way to much time doing these days .LOL

At lunch time Josh came in from mixing feed and plowing the driveway out. He also had to weld the one broken part on the new blade. After lunch Josh headed back out to do last mintue stuff, as we were heading to church for 4:00 mass. We had to leave home by 3, so that we could also go to the store to get last min stocking stuffers for Bella and Anners.

We got to church and had to sit in the overflow which wasn’t too bad, there were a lot of kids there, so it seemed like the “kid” room.  As soon as mass was done, we headed home, as Josh needed to get milking. Bella was way over due for her nap, so she went down for that one, while I worked on making xmas supper.

Bella woke up about 20 mins before Josh got in, so I had to keep her away from the tree, as all the presents and stockings were set out.

Once Josh got in and we got re-dressed up, we sat down to a yummy supper of baked chicken, mashed potatoes and corn. Then it was on to presents. Bella had crayons in her stocking on top, so she was done with those. Josh has to hide them in order to get her to finsih going through her stocking and then at the bottom was granola bars and she wanted those. Lessons learned for next year. LOL

But it was a good xmas. Bella loved her My Pal Violet and Tractor. I love my new cast iron fry pan and that i got yummy choclates. Josh like his saw and John Deere Shirt.

Josh also got a remote control car for him and bella to play with. Yeah that didn’t work out very well. As soon as josh made it go, bella freaked out and started to cry. So yeah maybe in a few months, but right now, Daddy cant’ play with Bella and the car.

Since Bella stayed up a bit to late, it was hard to get her to bed, and then we had to end up getting up early the next morning… to Celebrate Xmas at my mom’s….

House bound

So this this wonderful wisconsin weather, Bella and I have been staying at home and mostly in the house. It’s been trying on both of us, but we are making it. Josh has been very busy trying to get as much done ahead of time on the farm before the snow hit and Christmas day.  He manged with help from his dad to get three load of corn picked yesterday but it was too icy and slippery to be in the fields.  Today the rain hit, so now everything is all slushy. Josh went and got a new to us blade for the tractor to help move all the slush and snow off the driveway.

Here’ s some pictures of what Bella and I have done.
