22 months

Ok it seems like i just did 21 months, and now another month has passed by!

We had a rough month this month of not wanting to sleep alone, but the last week she has been doing great with night time, it’s naps that are hit or miss.

Eating is back to the picky/grazer phase which is partly due to those molars that are still not in. We have been playing around with letting Bella drink out of a cup and sippy cups without the no spill valve.

Bella has starting to try to say the abc’s with the song and she gets certain letters but not the whole thing. we are also working on counting and she knows how to point while you say the number and can count ‘one"’ and “two”

We are gearing up for summer and have had the kiddie pool out a lot in the last week. She loves to play in it and will even get her face in the water.

Bella was in her first car accident, when Daddy hit a deer. She slept through the whole thing until the cop came. So yeah not a big deal to her. No one was hurt but the deer.  So then we had a whole week of no car. Bella didn't’ seem to notice that either.

We went on our first road trip with Auntie Tori and Dylan. We went to LaCross. It was a good time and had lots of fun, but Bella got sick near the end of it. :(

Bella is able to tell us more and more of what she really wants and doesn’t want. Also she is saying more words to help us understand what she wants.

She runs, crawls, climbs just about any where!  She loves to be outdoors and the farm.  She loves helping out daddy or mommy. She follows simple tasks and directions.

New favorites are Tinker Bell and The wiggles.

Weekly Round Up May 24-28

Monday: Bella was getting over something. she got a fever on Saturday and had it through Monday afternoon. It was a really hot day so after her nap in the afternoon we set up the kiddie pool for her to play in. She loved that!

 

Tuesday: we stayed home again to be on the safe side. Also I don’t have my car. Hopefully Thursday or maybe even Wednesday night it should be back. It rained finally to cool things off so our outside activates happened around chore time and after supper.

Wednesday: I had a doc’s appointment and my mom came down to pack up the rummage sale stuff. We took some stuff up to my friend’s who was having a rummage sale on friday and then came back to the farm. Mom and  I worked outside getting some tiger lilies planted and attempting to get some weeding done in my flowerbeds. Bella slept from 1:15 til 4:30. That night we got to hang out with Josh for a bit after supper outside.

 

Thursday: Day number 4 without a car. I was going batty. Thankfully Josh brought us to town for a bit in the afternoon so that I could get some propane for the grill to make supper. We had BBQ ribs. Bella and I played outside quite a bit. Then at Night we helped Josh finish up the potatoes in the garden. We have corn and carrots to go yet.

 

Friday: I got my car back. It was really exciting because until we called around 9 we thought it could be possibly Tuesday before we got it back since they were waiting on parts.  Bella took and early nap, and then around noon we went to get me car. It was so nice and clean!!! Inside and out. Then Bella and I went over to our friend’s  who was having the rummage sale and hung out with them. I made around 16 dollars but spent a couple on some other items at the sale. ;)  Bella took another long nap before supper and after supper she got to ride with Daddy in the tractor while i ran to the grocery store.

A couple weeks back now, I reorganized Bella’s room, the computer room and the living room. Naturally I only took pictures of Bella’s room and of course nothing really looks like it did that first day anyhow. but we moved the day bed out of her room, moved her toys around and took more of them out of the living room.

Family road trip

On Saturday, Tori and I along with Dylan and Bella headed to LaCross to discover it. We left at 8:30am and got there around 11ish and it was so easy to get too! Wish is was about 45 mins closers.

Our first stop was Myric Park. They have a great play area for kids. Both Bella and Dylan had a blast. For you watertown folks it’s a bigger version of Chamberland.

Then we went on to the EcoPark, that still being built, we think. We couldn't’ tell, but either of us adults were up for taking a long walk around.

It was lunchtime, only we didn’t know where we were, so we used the good ol’ GPS to get us to the Children's museum and then we went looking for food near by. We found a really nice and clean burger king. Oh I wish one was closer!  Then it was on to the children's museum. Another great find. Both the kids loved it. I’m pretty sure Dylan would have lasted a few more hours there, but suddenly Bella just got way to tired and not feeling well.  So we decided to head home-ish.

I wanted to stop and get some Motrin for Bella since I knew her teeth were already hurting her. So yeah tried to find Shopko,,there are three in LaCross, who would have figured. So naturally we get going towards the one furthers from home. Then get turned around to be stopped by a train. So yeah took a bit longer. stopped at Shopko to find out they only had Advil for infants…nothing else, no generic or name brand of any other infants. UGH!  We decided to stop at DQ for a special treat since the kids had been great.

Bella naturally only slept for about 15 mins the whole drive home. She was a wreck and i’m pretty sure Dylan is praying for no baby siblings. We did stop at one of the Lock and Dam’s along the way home.

Once home Bella got to veg out watching TV and Tori and I worked to get supper ready. Dylan got to help Josh with chores.

It was a great Saturday to spend with family and I hope we are able to do another little trip like this again soon!

Weekly round up May 17th-21

Monday: I spend the whole day cleaning and reorganizing the house. Bella got to hang out with Daddy in the tractor and working on fixing the diskbine so that I could get the house done.

Tuesday: We went to playgroup. After Bella's nap and lunch we played outside. Bella did chores with Daddy, while Mommy went to her last Zumba class.  :(

Wednesday: We went to drop off some things for our friends and see their new baby. Then we went to the library,  Bella had fun playing with Leah. Then home we came for lunch and Bella took a long nap! We got to play outside and have a picnic supper down in the fields while Daddy round baled some hay. Bella got to take a really long bath before a trip in the truck to get the bale cart.

THursday we went to the park with our friends, then did a bunch of errands before coming back home for a long nap for Bella. It was a pretty easy day.

Friday we’ve been bums, I’ve been attempting to get things clean around here for Tori and Dylan to come. We are off an adventure this weekend. and a few fun things planned for next week too!

  

 

How to eat Strawberries By Bella

To eat Strawberries and stay close to mom, you have to eat them sitting on the kitchen floor

 

Make sure you smell them to make sure they are fresh

  

Give at least one smile to mom with the camera so she will leave ya alone

 

It gets tiring to have to lean over the bowl, so laying on your stomach solves that problem

 

Must keep a tight grip on your bowl so that no one can take it from you

Last one…. Who knew Eatting strawberries could so be fun?

Rummage O Rama and then some

So this weekend was Watertown’s city wide rummage sale. Due to the car mishap, we had to kind of change up plans.

So Friday mom and Dar came to pick up me and Bella. they also bought down Bella’s new tool bench. Bella and I waited outside for them to arrive as to keep Bella awake and active, so she would sleep in the car. ;)

Naturally though I took til Madison to get Bella to fall asleep. We had in a different position in the car so she could see more and really enjoyed it.  Once she fell asleep i ended up talking on my phone and planning out my attack for Rummaging  on Saturday.

Our first stop was in Oconomowoc to visit my grandparent’s grave. It’s bittersweet to take my baby there. She never will know them, ok I only knew my grandma, but still, but yet she goes and sees the stone that they are under, and where they are forever “sleeping”. I grew up going to visit there and i hope that Bella will be comfortable with it a that someday when her family is gone, that she too will visit them.

Next we headed off to Lunch at the Kiltie, which is an old fashion drive up. We ate outside at a picnic table, since Bella is a messy eater.  She wasn’t too into eating until I got her a cone. Just a cone btw no ice cream, I did give her a bit of mine, but it was pretty much just the cone. She loved it!

Finally we headed back to Watertown, we stopped at one rummage sale and got a new manga doodle for Bella. Once at home, Mom went to mow the yard while Dar watched Bella, so I could go hit a few rummage sales. I managed to get a lot for only the hour i was out and good deals too.

We had my favorite Schuett’s for supper and just relaxed at mom’s for the rest of the night. Bella was dead tired as she went to bed with out a peep and never moved from her spot til she woke up at 3:30am.

 

Saturday was a BUSY DAY!  We started the day at 6:30am, but didn’t leave the house til 8am to start on the rummage o Rama.  Since I know Watertown, I managed to have a pretty good plan of attack down. I find an area that i want to hit and then find the path that will take me passed as many of the rummage sales as possible on that way. So that’s just what we did. we rummaged until 10am, when we headed back home to meet up with my aunt. She watched Bella while Bella napped and mom and I went back out for more rummage sales. We were gone from 10:30 til 1:15. we hit a bunch of sales.  We picked up Dar and Bella and went to lunch at Mcdonald’s. then Dar went home and the three of us hit more rummage sales until 3:30. stopped off with a trip to Walmart and then it was home to take inventory of all that we found.  Bella had a blast playing with all the new toys she got. We let her play outside for a bit while supper was cooking and she had a blast to be outside and with fun toys!

Sunday was was the start of not like i had planned weekend. Mom and Josh both agree it would be better for all of us to meet up Sunday night than Monday to get me, Bella and all of our stuff home.  So Sunday we first went to farm and fleet to kill some time before Bella needed to nap. We got Bella a cute little “future farmer” john deere hat and a tote for me to put all of the clothes in that I brought for Bella.

Once we got home, Bella went down for a nap, and i went to the outlet mall. i needed a baby gift and of course they were having sales, so i got some more cute things for Bella. I got home in time for lunch and then we just chilled out at my mom’s until Hannah called saying they were ready for a playdate.

We went over to Hannah’s and let Bella and Ella play. My kid is so reserved until about 10 mins before we leave. LOL I think the girls enjoyed their playdate. I know i enjoy talking to Hannah.

After we had to leave Hannah’s, we had a quick supper, loaded up the car and headed to meet Josh in Madison.

Naturally Bella fell asleep about 10 mins outside of Madison, so she was a bit cranky with the car switch and to fall back asleep. She did mange to stay asleep when we got home and through the night. :)
