Christmas with Grandma

So we kicked off the Christmas celebration with Grandma, Tim, and all of our aunts/uncles and cousin Alex.  We got up early to leave and headed on the way. Stopping at Grandma’s house to visit for a bit before going to Uncle Joel and Aunt Rachel. Their house is a bit larger than Grandma’s. We had a lot of yummy food and then gifts. There was an adult gift exchange.. it was little messed up but we all had a good time with it.  Merry Christmas Family

 

We also celebrated Grandma’s birthday…cake decorated by Max and Bella.

Day 7

Thankful for Weddings and this one being the last for while. I love weddings and everyone getting together, celebrating the happy couple, dressing up, lots of pictures, the food, dancing , ect, but it gets to be a little crazy when part of the wedding party.  Today we had rehearsal for Jeremy and Kim’s wedding. The kids were excited to stay at a hotel and to see their extended family.  Bella found Aunt Olivia and I’m not sure she went anywhere Aunt Olivia didn’t. Max was just contend to be with Daddy or run around church.  It was nice to interact with the family and for the kids to play with their cousin that was there too.

A lunch for Kim

Sunday we got up uber early to make 730 am church.  The kids did surprising well. We headed back home in time for Bella and I to leave again. We headed to Madison to join up with some family for a lunch in honor of Kim, who is joining the family.

We ate at sprechers and had good food. Our waiter was a bit strange, but the rest was good. It was a small group, but that gave us the chance to visit. Kim got some good gifts and had a good time, which was the main goal.

Dec 29th Sledding

So the weather started to turn colder and we knew it was going to get much colder soon. Due to the night before late bedtime, the kids slept in which mean nap time got moved back. I really wanted to take the sledding. We haven’t been able to yet, because the snow was so fluffy. After yesterdays warm weather it was nice and packed down and crunchy. With Grandma and TIm here, I knew I could get someone to take pictures for me.  

First we had to go out and help Josh finish up barn chores.

August 18/19- the weekend..I think

Wow, I wish I could say I remember what we did on Saturday, but to be honest I have no clue. Oh wait now it’s coming back to me. Della and Tim came down for a visit. They brought with Josh and Bella’s birthday presents. Since I really needed to go to the store, we asked if they would watch the kids while we did our shopping. Well it seem to go pretty well. It was nice to have the time with just Josh and me. Of course by the end of the day Josh was sick, but the time we did have was nice. THe kids had fun too!  That night we went to church so we would have all day sunday free.. in hindsight it was a good idea.

Then Sunday Tori came over and help me get some cleaning done. Well actually I started it before she got here. I got my closet deep cleaned! Then I got the car part 90% done. I started in the basement but didn’t get that done bc Tori had another reason for coming over. She asked me to be in her wedding! Yeah for a good distraction in my life!!! She then also asked Bella to be flower girl. Bella’s not so sure about it yet, but I see her enjoying it when the time comes!

Stacy’s wedding

My buddy from college got married on Saturday. It was held in our college town which is also her hometown. The reception was held at Carroll since both her and Jake went to school there. Naturally they didn't’ meet while we were going to school there, but after.  you can read more about them here : The Knot
