So on Saturday, Jahnke family Easter was held at our place. It was a great time. Our house seem to be just the right size, we had plenty of food, and lots of laughs! Bella was a little charmer and did great with all the people around. It was a great day, but so tiring once everyone was gone.

So Bella and I have been busy bees this week. We are hosting Easter for the Jahnke side of the family on Saturday, which means my house needed to get into shape! Only problem was we already has stuff booked and you can only clean so far ahead with a toddler, so it’s been crazy here!
Tuesday, we had playgroup in the morning before coming back to work more on the house.
Wednesday, we had storytime and then came back home to work some more
Thursday, we had another birthday get together, then came back home, only Bella didn’t nap until after she got lunch, a snack and a tractor ride.
Friday, My mom came to help finish up cleaning and start cooking, we did run into town to get some last minute things and stopped at a&w to pick up food to bring home.
To be honset I can’t even remember what we did each afternoon. But I do know that we managed to get the living room changed around and picked up, Bella’s room cleaned and reorganized, the master bedroom cleaned up, basement is in order and all the floors are vacuumed or mopped. We got food started and ready for Saturday to just pop it in and cook. I pray it can all be cooked and ready by noon, my poor oven is only so big and my refrigerator is at capacity! I’m hoping someone else brings something sweet as I'm afraid my cake won’t be enough. :( but I could throw in a pie while we are eating. Hot pie from the oven does sound tasty too!

This weekend was on like we haven’t had in ages, a laid back weekend! Saturday the biggest thing we had planned was a birthday party for a friend. Where i only took one picture. Oops. Bella looked so cute too and I think she had a lot of fun, if not she had a lot of sugar either way. I also had a great time with all the adults. We stayed longer than planned, so Josh had to do chores by himself, but then for supper we grilled out hot dogs and brats.
Sunday we got up late, Bella decided to sleep in. I figured it was due to missing her nap on Saturday. But she was so grumpy! We went to church anyhow, which was pretty busy. Then went to the brunch at church afterwards and sat with some good friends. Bella ate great and did pretty well just sitting on our laps to eat. Then we came home, Bella went down for a nap while josh finished up his chores. Then Josh and i worked on starting to clean the basement for Easter this weekend. Once Bella was up we brought her down with us, and then worked until it was time to go outside for a bit. The wind kept it a bit on the chilly side here, but the sum made you want to be outside. :)

So The weather has been so nice up until now.
Wednesday, Bella and I venture out to Story time. The first time in over a week since we had seen our friends. Bella was just all over the place. She didn’t have shoes on as she had walked in the mud before we got in the car and i didn’t realize it. Then she was into the bubbler and spinning the racks of movies, then trying to climb the potted plant. We just had to leave much earlier than I had planned.
Once we got home, Bella went down for a nap. After she was up and lunch, we headed outside to play. It was so nice out, but a tad bit windy, so we found a coat for her and headed out. She had a blast playing outside. we reconnected her climber/play yard thing and so she had fun with that. We feed bottles and the ponies and then Bella got to help daddy with milking…ok hang in the barn. LOL
Thursday, we spend as much time outside as we could. We went to Gasser’s first in the morning since daddy had to run there first thing and they had free doughnuts. v vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv hhbbhgggggggggg

Bella thinks Gassers is the best places. She is allowed to walk around the store, play with all the plastic animals and candy. a couple of hte ladies that work there seem to know us, since Josh is defiantly there every week and enjoy Bella's funny faces and how much she is growing up.
Once we were done with Gasser’s we headed to Ihm’s get to Beans and then home. Bella and I went to play outside. I raked while she played. I think we were out until it was nap time . While she napped I worked on getting laundry done and cleaning up the house. Once Bella was up, it was lunch and then back outside so my house stayed clean. :) It was so nice to just be able hang out outside with not a ton of layers and feel the warmth of the sun! It sure tired Bella out, who took a three hour nap in the middle of hte day and then another hour long one in the barn while Josh milked.
Friday Bella and I went along with Josh to town again. We dropped off a calf at Ihm’s before heading to Gasser’s for a yummy breakfast of doughnuts and milk. We also stopped at our Lancaster house for a quick diaper change. P.s. love Grobaby diapers for quick poopy diaper changes. then hit up the grocery store before coming home. Bella went down for her nap. I was not so productive by chatting to some friends online, oh well, need to relax sometimes right? Once she was up we had lunch with Daddy. Then it was on our way to visit some grandparents. :)
As i was getting Bella out of the carseat, I said “we are going to see Great Grandma and” Bella then said Poppy. So apparently she has given Grandpa her own name. Which i think is really cute! Also Poppy, so much easier to say then Great Grandpa. We had a nice visit. Bella knows where the cookies are, and where all the special things that Grandma lets her play wtih. Grandma and grandpa got a puppy, so Bella had fun chasing Buddy around. I Think Buddy is afraid of Bella. LOL When it came time to go, Bella gave both grandma and grandpa hugs and kisses. this is a first for her, as she is normal afraid of Grandpa.
As we headed home, the rain to snow mix has come to town. It was so icky. Bella had to stay in the barn while I fed bottles to the calves. So no more playing outside for while.
Then this morning we awoke to white covering the ground! Please Spring return quickly.
Everyone was up by 8:30am on Sunday due to Bella, well Drew and Elly got up on their own, Bella woke up Sara. I got Everyone to eat and get dressed, before we headed downstairs to play. All of us including Bella played Rock Band. We had a great time.
We stopped playing when my mom and Aunt Dar got to Tracey’s. By the time Mom got unloaded, said hi to the kids and Dar headed back home, Tracey and Andy arrived. IT was a crazy time when everyone was there. WE were attempting to get lunch started, catch up, keep Bella out of trouble, keep the other kids from being bored. We had a yummy lunch of Ham, Cheesy potatoes, strawberries, rolls, carrots and of course a cake. :) But it’s wasn’t a normal cake, it was a giant cookie cake! It was so yummy! Bella even enjoyed it. She tried to eat it with her spoon, but was not successful. LOL
After we eat and were stuffed, we open presents or I should say Bella opened my presents. She wasn’t having so much fun doing it, I just let her. She also passed out my presents. :) I got a new waffle maker, veggie scrubber, yummy smelling bath and body stuff, new pancake flipper and rechargeable batteries.
Then we headed off to Sam’s club, well Tracey, Mom, Drew and I. Andy stayed back with Sara,Elly and Bella. Oh my gosh that store is HUGE. I haven’t been there in at leas 5 years and it has really changed. I managed to stock up on a ton of food! Mostly the items that we cook a lot with. There were some other great items too, but i keep to my list and budget.
Once we got back to my sister’s it was time to load up and head towards the Watertown way. Bella fell asleep about 5 mins after we left my sister’s so I went to Target. I needed to get a few things and so mom stayed in the car with a sleeping baby for me. I miss Target! I did mange to find a lot that i needed and fairly quickly but I wished i had more time to look around. I got Bella’s Easter basket started and Easter shoes for her!
After Target, I headed to Watertown to Drop my mom off and then Bella and I headed to Tori and Dylan’s. WE had a good visit and Dylan and Bella got to play for a bit. everything was great until Bella fell off a chair and bit her tongue, but i think i was more shook up than she was. We said our good byes and then it was back to my mom’s.
I dropped off Bella, so mom could feed her and went to Schuett’s drive in. Ok so now it’s a park and walk to the window, but whatever. I got there, placed my order and then 2 mins later they put up the closed sign. I was the last order of the day,,,,so happy i was able to make it. The pizza burgers and blue raspberry slushies are the best! Its the same that I always get. SO I got our food home, and got Bella ready for bed. She only managed to have time to watch “the year without a santa clause” twice.
Once she was down, I headed off to Court’s to catch up with her. I got to hear about her really cool trip to Vegas and see the pictures. I wish i would have had more time, but as I was thinking of getting ready to leave, i was paged home.
Monday was a lot simpler day. We woke up around 7am. Bella slept in her crib all night long!!!! Then woke up just talking. It was great.
We had breakfast and then mom decided that she would go get my coat that I left at my sister’s . I was going to wait til i see mom again to get it, but she decided to go get it. She took Bella with, so that Bella would get at least a bit of a nap for the day. I stayed behind and cleaned up, got myself cleaned up, reorganized the car, and then relaxed in front of the open window and read “the diary of a wimpy kid” Really good book btw.
Once they returned back, it was time for mom to go to work, and then Bella and I hung out until we got the call from Hannah to come on over.
We arrived over to Hannah’s around lunch time. The girls had quite a bit of fun together. They defiantly both know how to interact with each other. They were climb up everything, running around, crawling into the cozy coupe,playing with babies, sharing, then taking away. It was almost like they were play “ if you can do it, i can do it better”. I had a great time talking to Hannah. The girls might be 4 months apart, but it seems as they are getting older that difference is less and less. The girls ate lunch together, Bella in a booster chair (first time ;( and she did great ;) ) and Ella next to her in the high chair. We played until Hannah had to leave and John came home. Both John and I were hoping the girls tired each other out and they would both nap.
Bella and I hit up St. Vinny’s and then the car wash before heading back to mom’s. Bella did nap, matter of fact she took a two hour nap!
Once she was up, we went to Shopko, to walk around a bit before my mom got done with work. Bella enjoyed walking in the store with my mom. Ok any store she can walk in she enjoys. Then we went to McDonald’s for supper, and even got Ice cream. Bella did good at eating her supper, so she got ice cream too. She loved both my shamrock shake and my mom’s hot fudge sundae. Before heading back to mom’s for hte night, we hit up the new Pick n Save. It’s huge and a bit too big. Maybe it seems big since i have a little store here in Lancaster to go too, but it’s like double the size of the old Pick N Save.
Tuesday morning was another good morning of Bella sleeping in her crib all night long! This time Mom had to leave for work at 8am, so it was up to me and Bella to get all packed up. Bella got to watch her Santa while I did all the packing and loading. Then we headed out for Madison.
Oh i need to mention, for me anyhow, that Bella is now a master of Stairs at my mom’s house. I even left the gate down and she did really well. She knows to get on her tummy before going down.
In true Bella fashion, She fell asleep as i hit the Beltline. So I called up Diane and asked if she would come along for the two stores i wanted to visit. She was a good sport and say yes. So Diane sat in the car with a sleeping Bella while I got to run into Nicki’s diapers, a great cloth diaper store, and Achiever's, the scrapbook store i can only go to once in every blue moon. I spent a bit to much at each place, but oh well. I got some of the cloth diaper stuff i needed and scrapbook stuff that i kind of wanted. LOL
We all went back to Diane’s where Bella got to play and get into a whole new house full of stuff! Bella knows where the phone is, her cupboard in the kitchen is and how easy it is to climb up on the fireplace. (she also knows at my sister’s and my mom’s where all the special Bella places are) This time Bella figured out how to open the doors to the fireplace. that was a big shock to both Diane and I. we had a yummy lunch of Pineapple, mac n cheese, green beans (for Bella) and peanut butter cookies! Bella ate pretty well too! But after much talking and playing we decided it was time to head home, Both Bella and I missed Josh and our house.
We got home around 3, unloaded the car and then it was time to do chores. It was a great trip and it was so nice to see everyone! Pictures to come later, i promise!
So up until this last week, we haven’t let Bella spoon fed herself yogurt. It was just to runny for me to let her make a mess out of. Matter of fact we switch to drinkable yogurt jsut for that reason. Well we ran out of our drinkable stuff, so we let her have at it. She did a great job! Everyday now she’s improved and gotten less messy. The first time she only had a drop here and then, but then tried to “finger paint” with the yogurt. A few days later, no drops at all! I”m not sure i’m ready for this at all yet.
