growing up

So Bella is getting better at getting her clothes off. She can take off all of her shoes when she wants too. She is starting to understand how they go on, but not yet able to get her foot in them yet.

She can get socks off but doesn’t even really care to try to learn to put them on.

She can undo zippers and get her jackets and pj’s off.

She can take off her shirt if it’s a button in the back and unbuttoned. She knows how a shirt goes on and can get some things over her head, but doesn’t know how to get it right to put her arms through.

pants, she doesn’t care to do anything with!

Diapers,,,she can take off her clothe diapers and know show the disposables come off, but hasn’t master getting them off yet.

So the rest of this week has spend with friends at playgroup and walking to storytime. we meet up with Nana to help set up rummage sale stuff. We had fun outside on the farm and in the sandbox. We have been slightly temperamental the last couple of days and attempting to sleep more to be happier.

Party, Puppy and Planting

So the rest of monday was a busy day. After the cows were set out, we had a quick breakfast before heading to town.

First we went to our friend Emmy’s 3rd birthday party. Bella had fun playing with all the kids. We didn’t get to stay to long before we had to hop in the car and head to Madison.

Bella and I had lunch at Noodle’s where Bella at all the chicken and i had the noodles. But she was so good for me and ate well too!

Then we went over to Katie’s house to meet the new puppy, Kona. She is a cute little puppy, but still in the puppy stage so she was a bit crazy. Bella wasn’t sure what to think of her since Bella’s not really seen or been around puppies before. Eventually Katie put the puppy to “bed” and we sat around and talked while Bella played a bit.

 

Bella grew restless so we headed to the park down the street from Katie’s house. Bella did so well climbing up on the equipment and going down the slide. I was so proud of her.

After the park it was back to Katie’s to visit with the puppy again before heading back home.

 

Once we got home I discovered that our 10 free trees from Arbor day had arrived, so after milking and while Supper was cooking Josh planted those :)

    

And they are off

On Monday the cows were let out on pasture for the first time this year. It’s always fun to watch as the cows get so excited to have all the freedom.  They normally run the whole fence line just to see where they can all go. Bella seemed to enjoy watching this year, but only because I took her out of the sandbox.

A perfect Sunday

Sunday was a great day. Bella slept in til 8am, well she was up around 5am and then cuddled with me until she fell back asleep. I got a little me time before she got up. Then once she was up she got her yogurt which she has so much fun eating on her own these days. Josh came in in time to get everyone showered and dressed.

Then we headed off to Fennimore to attend the Topel Two Pancake breakfast to raise money for CF research. Bella did pretty good eatting, so that worked out well. We decided to walk up to church and Bella loved that part. She wasn’t so happy to be in church though. Not sure why she sits through an hour long mass at St. Clement’s but not a half an hour one at St. Mary’s.

Anyhow after that we walked back to our car and hoped Bella would take a nap. Well naturally she wanted nothing to do with a nap, so on our way to Platteville we stopped in Monfort at Grab-a-Cone for ice cream. Bella got her first full kiddie cone. I don’t think she enjoyed the ice cream as much as she did the cone. 

After that we headed to Menard’s to get a new grill. Naturally the one we wanted to get on sale was no longer on sale, so we got one that is slightly better than what we had. I was just glad it fit in the car!

Bella finally feel asleep on the way home and then napped until 4ish. Josh worked on getting the new grill together I attempted to get caught up on blogging.  SO far i’m only 4 days behind..3 after this post. LOL

It was a great day and the only thing i really have to show for it is this post, as I didn’t have my camera for most of it.

Children’s fair and play date at the park

On Saturday the 17th, Bella and I had fun at both the children’s fair  my old high school and meeting up with some new and old friends.

For something different to do and to wear about Bella, My mom and I took Bella up the children's fair. We ended up meeting up with John and Ella as we were walking in. It was nice to know someone there. It was pretty busy though, so Bella didn’t enjoy too much of it. :( We did ended up getting her car seat safety checked and I'm totally glad i finally did. She sits so much better in it now and it’s so much tighter in my car.

After that Bella got to take a short nap before eating lunch and heading over to Nikki and Ronin’s for a small visit. We didn't’ get to visit too much as Nikki had some company stop over.  Also part of the reason was the 4 of us were going to the park to meet up with two more friends and their little boys.

We had a great time at the park. Bella loved climbing up on everything and having kids to play with.

After the park we headed home to the farm. Bella slept pretty good on the drive so that made it a lot easier to drive home!

 

 

 

 

A trip to the Zoo

On Friday the 16th Bella and I meet up with Hannah and Ella to go to the zoo. We got there and it was kind of cloudy and windy. Which seems to be how it always is when I go to the zoo. :( Both Girls were kind of in a mood. Ella wanted to run and Bella was clingy and only wanted to be held. But Hannah and I headed on and went to the ape house first. IT was there that i discovered i never put my memory card in my camera. So I only have a few pictures from the day. Hannah took the most so I wait copies of those. LOL

But after the ape house, I gave Bella some teething meds (pretty sure her eye teeth were bothering her) while we saw the lions. After them we moved on to the seals, where Bella started to come around. Both her and Ella enjoyed watching the seals. Then we let the girls walk on their around the Giraffes, rhinos and tigers. They were so cute holding hands!

After we realized how easy it was for them to run away in different directions we put them in the strollers..Ella like Bella’s Better and Bella like Ella’s better. So we pretty much swapped kids for a bit.

We visited more animals before sitting down for lunch. Bella naturally wouldn’t eat much of her own food. But lucky for us, Hannah comes well prepared. I wish i could be as prepared.

We went to the birds after lunch and then it was off to the carousel, before heading back to the beginning. Both girls were getting to the point of being done with everything, so naps were needed.  We did make one last stop to visit the very inactive penguins.

Overall it was a great time and so nice to see Hannah and Ella again. The animals were all pretty active so that kept the girls attention too!

A our first Play date

On Thursday the 15th Bella and I hosted our first little play date at our place. We had a small group but perfect size for our toys and climber.

The kids seemed to enjoy Bella’s toys and Bella seemed to enjoy having kids to play with her. We also went to visit the animals around the farm before having a snack and clean up time.
