It was a struggle getting the kids ready, but we were early and the kids did great in church. We treated them to playtime outside until max took off his shoes. Our next stop was Walmart to get freezer bags for the chicken. The kids got a treat of doughnuts and I picked out a bowling set for us.
We headed home and got there about 5 mins before other josh arrived. He visited with all of us for a bit before the guys got to work.
The kids and I worked on cleaning up and making chocolate chip banana bread. Max went down for a nap, Bella a rest and I waited for josh while attempting to catch up on the blog. We had lunch when josh got done. The chickens were huge! The guys only did 8 birds this time. My sweet husband even got me some boneless chicken breast :-)
Bella and I played guess who unti max woke up. Then we got the bowling game set up. The kids had a blast.
Josh and I played a round of battleship, where I stood a chance to win, but I couldn't find one ship. I took a little break after that, the kids played. And josh rested. After a bit , josh suggested finishing up our garden. We got the potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower planted. Then chores done. Josh suggested I go to kohls to use some coupons while he make supper.
I got home in time to eat some yummy grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. We made another round of banana bread for Bella's school treat. The kids got a nice long bath to clean up from the dirt. Then it was off to dreamland.
