Then there were none

Josh and I had always planned to build a house at our current location. We wanted to when we first moved, but with both JOsh and I in new Jobs we couldn't get a loan. Then once we were both stable we just didn't make enough money and Josh got sick. Josh made me promise that I WOULD get the new house build after he was gone.  So i worked hard in the last month to get things rolling. Pretty much everything that will be done Josh and i talked about and agreed too. 

The builder told me that i had a lot of trees to clear out and to get it done sooner rather then later. So i called upon our friends that Josh had talked to before he passed and they came out one weekend to take down a whole bunch of trees. 

Martin, Ben and Jeremy worked to move the fence for the cows as our driveway had to change too. I felt so bad for them having to move it after it was just put in last june. But now it's better then before. :)

Fr. .Greg came back on MOnday to work and tried to burn more. 

Jan 2nd snow and wood

This was a rough day.  Josh had a rough night and i wasn't sure he was up to helping out, but somehow he made it. Friends came up to with a log splitter to help Josh cut up some big logs and bring more wood into the shop for the wood stove. We use a wood stove to heat our well pump that pumps the water up to the house.  

Josh totally ended up over doing it by the end of the day, but the kids had a great time playing outside for most of it and we got a lot of wood in the shop for the winter. 

Group Xmas Party

We had our annual friends group xmas party. It was a bit sad this year, as Josh wasn't feeling good and the kids were both fighting colds, so they were only there for a short time. I avoid the babies as i didn't want to get anyone sick.
We had a photobooth that the kids liked. I"m not too good at getting us adults to use it. Even my husband was grumpy about it.
We also had games for the kids to play and adults. I got to play the farming game, which i haven't done in ages!

Our group has really grown. We have 15 kids among us now from 13 to 6 months 

Kid weekend

So the two highlights of this weekend was hanging out with friends.
Saturday Max and I go together with friends who also have little kids Max’s age. There were three of us and I think the kids are slowly figuring out they are the same age. Before we got ready to leave we had the park to ourselves and the kids were having fun playing together.



I think I’ve posted about this quilt before, but it was created by a mom from an online group of moms. We all had a due date between dec 1 and Dec 12 2011. Well the babies all came at different times, but we started out as a group of like 60 and down to a group of 30ish. Three of us happen to live in the same state, and not to far from each other. We all sent in fabric to have this quilt created and it’s passed around depending on the needs of the group. It came to us when Josh’s cancer returned the 2nd time an then again a few weeks ago when things were pretty tough with being in and out of the hospital, stress of the unknown. and my little meltdowns. I wanted to be able to show it to the other girls while I had it, so we had a fun time meeting up and letting our little darlings play and see the quilt.

Then Sunday we got to hang out with the Twins and their family, along with another friend. We celebrated the twins first birthday! They are one year old on Tuesday! It was a windy day, and kind of chillier than we figured, but the kids didn’t seem to mind. I was able to get some pictures of the twins too. I feel so bad for waiting so long since the last time I took their pictures, I think it’s been like 3 or 4 months!
