August 3rd… Fun???
So after two crazy days we decided to chance it and attend an NFO conference in LaCrosse. First we had to go for Josh’s treatment, which finally only took 15 mins. Then we headed back through Lancaster, as Google maps said it would be quickest. So we stopped at the Lancaster house for me to feed Max, Bella to use the potty and have a bit of downtime as they had already had almost two hours in the car. Josh ran to get his new prescription before picking us back up to head north. The drive wasn’t too bad. We made a few stops for food, gas and potty breaks. Once we got to the hotel we had to wait for our room, so we all went to the conference with Josh. Yeah 15 mins of that and I knew I couldn’t keep the kids in there. Once our room was opened up, Josh helped to get our stuff in the room and then he want back to the conference. I got the kids ready and into the pool. The Pool was a bit chilly but it was pretty empty. They had a great kiddie pool that was only 6inchs deep. After about an hour in the pool, I took the kids back to the room. I got Max to nap and Bella vegged out to PBS Kids. Josh joined us for supper. It was provided for us, it was yummy, but too bad our kids weren’t very interested. We decided to go for a little walk down by the beach after supper. It was really nice out. I’m glad we went, but I wish I would have brought my big camera with. All I had was my cell phone. That night sleeping just didn’t happen for anyone but Bella.. Not sure what got into Max but he was up every hour.

July 13-15
We had our last big crazy travel weekend. Josh’s middle sister had her baby the week before, it was the Warpinksi family reunion in Green Bay and I wanted to hang out with my sister and her pool..so we combined them into one big long weekend trip. We pretty much had plans for almost every hour of our weekend. NOt the best way to do it, but since it was the last for a long time , we made do. First up was the attempt to go fishing. We were going to go to Rock Lake, but naturally in a draught we got stopped by the rain in Lake Mills. So after an hour visit at Tori’s house, we ended up driving to Folwer lake in Coony. We were able to fish there for about an hour, but for me it was a long hour. Max hated being in his life jacket and naturally I forgot his nuk. Bella caught two or three fish right away and then after that no so much, the motor broke..so yeah it was a doomed day.
Thankfully it got better after we loaded back up and headed to Watertown. My mom watched Bella and Max while I went out to eat with Nikki, and Josh went fishing in the lake a few blocks from my mom’s. It was a nice visit with Nikki for me and nice to not have to worry about what I was eating and not having to feed others. Then I went back to my mom’s to meet up with Josh. We loaded up our over tired kiddos and headed to my sister’s house. She has more room and A/c for the hot weather, so it was nice to stay there. It seemed to take forever to get bed set up for everyone, but Bella and I took over Sara’s room and Josh and Max got the basement.
Saturday morning we woke up early and after a rough night with Bella, made arrangements for her to stay with my sister until my mom could come get her. She wasn’t feeling the greatest and I didn’t want her to spread her germs to everyone. So Josh, Max and I headed up along Lake Michigan to visit with Della and family. We were able to meet Little Alex. She was a sweet little baby who slept pretty much the whole time we were there. Oh the joys of a newborn.. Kind of miss those days. While we were there, Josh went off an adventure to find parts for the broken boat motor. After a nice but short visit, the three of us had to say our goodbyes and head further north.
Our next stop was the Warpinski family reunion. We arrived later than planned, but got there as everyone was eating. So we joined in. It was a very warm day and the AC of the building was nice, but soon we realized that the breeze and the shade outside was cooler than inside. Josh got to visit with his uncles and aunts while I visited with some of the people I don’t normally get to talk much too. we stayed for a couple hours before heading back to my sister’s to get back to Bella.
When we got back to my sister’s Bella was in a good mood. You could tell she wasn’t feeling 100% better, though. My mom stayed at my sister’s a bit too, so we all had supper together. Then it was out to my sister’s pool. The kids had a blast. It was hard to get either of them out of the pool. But since neither of them had good naps, it was to bed on time. Bella once we got her to bed was out cold in 5 mins. Max took a bit longer, but he too was out quickly.
Sunday we awoke slightly more rested. Since we got up so early, we managed to get packed up and ready to go early enough to make it to church in Watertown. My mom and I stayed with the kids since Bella completely flipped out at the idea of me leaving her. She struggles if left without us for a day that we will be gone longer. when Josh arrived back home we decided to get Schuett’s for lunch. Oh it was so yummy! Then it was time to say goodbye to my mom’s house.
Next stop was Lake Mills to attempt to fish again. We stopped to get Tori, Matt and Dylan. Since the boat was broken it limited where we could fish. So we didn’t have the greatest area to fish, but since we weren’t planning to keep any fish it wasn’t so bad. Bella caught a bunch of fish. Dylan caught a few before we decided he just wanted to swim in the water. It was pretty warm so we didn’t last long before we decided it would be best to pack up and head home.

A Water and people filled weekend
Well We decided to head to the other side of the state for the weekend. Our first stop was at my sister’s house. Ok that’s a lie I know we had to stop somewhere before we got there, but the first planned stop was there.

We got there in time for Lunch, followed by Pool time. My mom meet up with us too. After swimming it was time for a nap for Max. While he napped the girls decided to hit up Costco. As fate would have it, We had to wait for the guys to get home.. Josh was fishing and Andy was out and about..so Max woke up leaving the guys to watch the kiddos. But the kids did great and I got to enjoy Costco including a giant chocolate dipped ice cream bar!

Then it was off to Watertown. My husband wanted to go fishing with Court’s Dad, so after a quick supper he headed there, while I headed over to Hannah’s. We have a little playdate with a few friends. Bella got to play with Ella which is loved and I got to meet little Miss Mia. It was some great mommy talk but the kids had other ideas.. our babies were not happy campers probably since it was late. So when it was past our bedtime I loaded the kiddos up, went and got Josh and headed back to my mom’s to sleep.

The next day we were up bright and early. My mom watched the kiddos so Josh and I could attend church. We also had to hit up Wal-Mart for a few things. After we got back, I went with the kiddos to Nikki’s house for a little visit. The kids had fun playing with Cars while us mommies talked.
After we left there, it was back to mom’s for lunch and then we were off to the pool. Poor Max was so tired that I left him with my mom. He ended up sleeping the almost the whole time we were gone..all but 15 mins! Josh went fishing since he’s not allowed in the pool yet. So it was Bella and I to meet up with friends at the pool. There was a small group of us but it was a nice little group. Bella had a lot of fun and it was nice and refreshing in the water.

Once it was time to leave we headed backto my mom’s to pack up and pick up max..then homeward bound we were!
