Final day of 2014

Our weekend was quick. Isn’t that how it always goes, the weekends fly by but the week drags on. Saturday was a rainy day that started out with Bella’s first time performing with her poms girls. She was really nervous btu I think she did great once all her friends got there. Bella had Nana, Aunt Tracey and Drew come watch the first performance and then Auntie Tori and Reed at the 2nd one. She was a lucky girl.

We came home to find Daddy and Max working on Max’s train table in the shop. So we hung out down there for while before it was time to get Max a nap. While he attempted to nap I worked on trying to pick up around here..well that didn’t last long. Josh came in to help and we made a big dent in the work load.

Then we loaded up and headed to my mom’s to drop off the kids for a date night. Josh and I went into the Brookfield to go to the melting pot.  Well I left stuff, my poor hubby didn’t. It was overall good though. It was something fun and different. it was our annual date our to celebrate our engagement. While we don’t go out on Christmas eve anymore, we try to go close to the date. yes we are corny.

Sunday we somehow were all up in time to make 730am church. Which was nice because we got going early enough that we were able to get a lot done in organizing the shop. I’m really ready to pitch, donate or sell a lot of our stuff. We got Max a short nap before it was time to wake up him to go to a Goose Roast.

The kids had fun playing at the roast with our friends and the goose wasn’t too bad. we watched part of the Packer game there before loading up and stopping at my mom’s. we left the kids there and ran to Walmart to get a few items. Then loaded up and headed back home.

Monday we stayed home all day. It was a trying day for all three of us.. Josh was off working the kids enjoyed playing with their toys, but by afternoon we were all done, so we headed outside waiting for Josh to get home from work.

Tuesday, I braved the stores and ran errands. We had to find out what was wrong with my car first, then headed to Shopko and Kohl’s. The kids did really well until the end, then they were done. Well Max anyhow..he was tired and hungry. Then when we got home we had lunch and a very short max nap, which led to a cranky dude….and thus outside again for us. When Josh got home we worked on installing a shelf to bring out our wii and hanging up new pictures.

Post Xmas

Today was a day of random. Bella was excited to sleep in and was up by 645. We had the DISH guy finally show up at 8am to finish installing our dish. The kids enjoyed playing and watching tv, not moving at all. My mom called about us coming to celebrate Christmas with my Aunt. That kind of got my kids moving. 

We went to Dar's and saw her new place. We all got some great gifts, including more for Isabelle :-)  then my mom took the kids to her place while Dar and I went to the mall to check out the Christmas store.  I didn't make it to one to get our glass ornament.  I was able to find one and got another item for our nativity. We also stop at Target and toys r us to get Max a surprise for pooping on the potty . Yep still need a reason to go :-) While we were out, my aunt Diane came to visit my mom and had a blast with the kids. 

When Dar and I got back, Dar dropped me off and I woke up max from his nap.  We also went on a hunt to find max's chuggington trains that have disappeared. Finally they were find in the garage aka the one place we didn't look. Max was so excited to see them. 

The weather was so nice out so the kids and I went home and played outside. I worked more with the dogs and the fence. Max and bella had fun in the mud and the swing set until josh got home. 

Then it was supper and daddy set out to add max's new train track to his train board.  So down to the shop we all went, I worked on going though totes to donate and pitch. The kids had fun watching daddy and trying to copy him. 

We headed back to the house for the kids to go to bed and started to take down the tree. Well we got it all down and put away in about 20 mins. Saving boxes really helps.

We are all up and gifts opened but more on that later…

Christmas Eve

What a crazy Christmas season! I swear it was never going to come and then it flew by. We ended up having friends over so I had to get ready for them in the morning. Josh’s truck broke down on Monday and there is a bunch mud in our driveway. Then top that off with a Christmas program, and party, along with both of us working… I wasn’t sure how today would go.

IT went pretty well. we had  our crazy moments. Getting six kids loaded up and ready for church was one of them..then keeping 5 kids entertained during a very packed mass was the other. But I have to say they all did great! Bella was an angel and did a great job.  We also got pictures at church too. I know I’ve said it before, but I really love our church. Max had to run up at the end of Mass to shake Father’s hand. IT’s a must for Max.

 

We came home, got a family picture. then made supper. The kids got to open one gift each, they played with them for a bit before we decided to climb in bed and watch Arthur's Perfect Christmas.

Christmas Class Party

So Bella’s class had a Fancy Tea Party.. I was asked to come talk pictures, which was lots of fun.  Her teacher had a lot of fancy dishware due to a side business, so the kids got to experience it. We also took the kids caroling in school.

This was max’s favorite place other then the preschool room.

Thanks to the wonderful mom’s who set this all up and Bella’s teacher too!
