The Lasy day of Vacation

So the last day was the only day we had to get moving early. We had to be at the dock by 8am, which meant leaving the hotel about 7;30am. This meant my two tired kids were still pretty sleepy. We got the boat and loaded up. Then Bella went to watch the movie with Grandma and Tim while I was with Max playing in the kids room. After being in there for about an hour, the poor boy didn't feel so good. The ship was a bit rocky and i dont' know if his stomach hurt because of that or because he didn't get enough breakfast, but it wasn't something we could tempt. So instead he got dramine and slept the rest of the boat ride back to Wisconsin.
Once we got on land and finally got our car back (took forever to get it back) we took off in search of chocolate milk and lunch. We then headed up to see Babcia  and Aunt Jeannie. It was a nice visit, though short since we still had a long drive home.
Once home it was time to love on all of our animals that we missed so much!!

Micagan day 4

Day four was the start of heading home. We said goodbye to our Great Wolf Lodge and headed back towards Luddington. We decided to stop back at the beach we hit a few days earlier. It was pretty windy, but the kids still had a blast. I think it might have been 50 degrees.  We also met up with Grandma and Tim and found some real climbable sand dunes before we hit up the City Beach in town. I think we could have spend all day at a beach. We ended the day with checking into our hotel room, getting supper at Big Boy and they playing on the playground in our hotel. (no pictures from that) It was so nice to have for the kids.

Michgan day 3

Day three was all great wolf...ALL DAY! It was so nice to not have to go anywhere. We just had a blast enjoying what the hotel had to offer. So we did swimming, eating, bowling, Mini Golf, more swimming, resting, relaxing, storytime and more swimming.
I acutally put down the camera lot today..only taking pictures at the new things or for a few group shots.

We love the bowling alley!
The Arcade was a favorite too! It's cool to see how they are growing and learning how to play the games

Michigan Day two

So day two started out with breakfast at the hotel before we were met by Grandma and Tim. Then we loaded up to find us some sand, rocks and water. On the map i found a light house not too far from where we were staying .  IT was a nice day for the beach, not windy and overcast.  We walked out to the light house and then came back at played at the beach for a bit.
After that we decided to travel M22 and see what we could find for real sand dunes.  We weren't able to find any that we could climb, but we did find a lookout that we could climb up 198 steps to the top. IT was a pretty view. Then i took a chance and followed a road on the map that dead ended into the lake. There was no mention of a beach there, but we found one that we could climb the dunes down to get too. On the beach we found a ton of smooth round rocks. The Kids really enjoyed it.
After that we searched for somewhere to eat and stumbled upon an A&W. It was packed but lucky we got a booth. It was the only food place we really saw along the way and it would have been another 20 mins before we would have found another one.
Once we were done with lunch we decided to split up, Grandma and Tim headed one way and we headed to the Great Wolf!
The whole time we were driving the solar eclipse was happening. We stopped once to check it out and then again when we got to the hotel. Bella and Max really enjoyed seeing it , we had the correct glasses :)
Our room was ready when we arrived so we quickly unpacked and headed to the pool. THe kids had a blast. They both have grown so much that they are able to do so much on their own these days at the pools.  We also got to enjoy the outdoor pool too.  After some pool time we went and explored the hotel before getting some supper. Next up was Mini Golf, which was something new for us. THe kids had fun. We then went to the Clock Tower Show followed by cookies and Milk in our room :)
I apologize that the pictures didn't upload in the right order
