Kid weekend

So the two highlights of this weekend was hanging out with friends.
Saturday Max and I go together with friends who also have little kids Max’s age. There were three of us and I think the kids are slowly figuring out they are the same age. Before we got ready to leave we had the park to ourselves and the kids were having fun playing together.

I think I’ve posted about this quilt before, but it was created by a mom from an online group of moms. We all had a due date between dec 1 and Dec 12 2011. Well the babies all came at different times, but we started out as a group of like 60 and down to a group of 30ish. Three of us happen to live in the same state, and not to far from each other. We all sent in fabric to have this quilt created and it’s passed around depending on the needs of the group. It came to us when Josh’s cancer returned the 2nd time an then again a few weeks ago when things were pretty tough with being in and out of the hospital, stress of the unknown. and my little meltdowns. I wanted to be able to show it to the other girls while I had it, so we had a fun time meeting up and letting our little darlings play and see the quilt.

Then Sunday we got to hang out with the Twins and their family, along with another friend. We celebrated the twins first birthday! They are one year old on Tuesday! It was a windy day, and kind of chillier than we figured, but the kids didn’t seem to mind. I was able to get some pictures of the twins too. I feel so bad for waiting so long since the last time I took their pictures, I think it’s been like 3 or 4 months!

Egg hunt 1.0

Our first egg hunt of the season was in Watertown. It was a little chilly but we bundled up to go. The kids were on opposites of the park, so that made it a bit rough. Max did ok, but the bigger kids got most of the eggs. Bella was too scared or shy to go run for eggs, so no luck there either. thankfully they have a line where you can get some extra goodies.  Then the kids went to my mom’s while Josh and I did some shopping. Once we got home, our friends came over to learn chores for while we would be gone  The kids had a blast playing and were running all over!

Hello again

Hey My blog, it’s been awhile since I posted, So much to catch up on. The biggest thing has been spring has arrived we got up to 70 one day and with all the snow melting we have been outside so much, both at home and school. We also have been taking advantage of the nice weather and out visiting people too. I feel like we haven’t done a lot but we sure stay busy.

The rest of this is out of order but hopefully will catch us up. I’m also procrasting doing our bookwork for taxes as it’s so boring!

My mom has been watching Max when she has off to save on daycare bills. Also Max while he does ok at daycare, hasn’t been happy at drop off or pick up. He only has until the end of May and then he will be done.

Aunt Diane came to watch Max one day and stay long enough to spend some time with Bella and join us for supper Smile it was great to see her again.

Also having different people watch max has help us to realize that max is potty trained now. He tells us when he has to poop and goes to the potty when he has to use the potty. we struggle with the undressing and redressing though.  This time around was so much easier then with Bella. He’s been so good about it too.

We had some playdates with friends. ITs been nice to see a lot of people without having to spend a whole weekend away or 4 total hours in the car.

We also got to see Great Grandma, Poppy and Grandma that was a nice surprise. Poppy hasn’t been feeling well again, so we went to wish him well and happen to run into Grandma and Tim there.

Since Grandma was in the area the same time we were for Easter pictures, we had her man the camera for me to get some pictures in front of the Lancaster house. It’s slated for demo soon. They have taken a lot of stuff out of it already, and the garage got sold to someone else.

We also saw Babcia in the last couple weeks at Reed’s baptism.Following the baptism and lunch Babcia, Aunt Micki and Aunt Frances  were able to come over ot our place and check it out. I was happy we could share some of it with them. It was so muddy though that we couldn’t show it all off.

Our weekends have also been busy with Bella taking Gymnastics on Saturday morning. The class is not like what she was learning at Twisters, but praying we can afford to let her take some better classes come this summer or next fall. At least I know she still wants to do it.

We have been having a lot of fun at school. Max has been coming at drop off and pick up and enjoying preschool toys. we also got to play on the playground. As it finally got nice out we have been outside for after school care. Bella got to hang out with me on the 1/2 day and make slime. I love being able to have my kids with me at work, and I can’t wait for next fall when Max can be there all the time too.

To celebrate our March Birthday’s Court and I got tickets to see Chef Robert Irvine Live. It was awesome, we were only 5 rows from the stage and we had a great time. We even got to meet Chef Robert!

Max has been working on his talking and doing great. he has a large vocabulary these days. Next step is working on making sentences.

Josh is doing well at his Job and after a month of overtime is back to normal hours. Healthwise we should know for sure how he’s doing by April.
