Busy Busy Saturday

So if you read our weekly post, you know that Friday was busy…well Saturday was just as busy and I was sick with a cold while doing it. Ugh to being sick.

Our first night away from home went pretty well. Max slept until 3:30am and then went right back to sleep after eating. Bella got up around 4am and I brought her in bed with me, so I slept with both kids. Ok they slept and I just rested. Then I totally miss read the clock and when Max got up at 6:50, I thought it was only 5:50am and tired to make him go back to sleep..naturally he thought I was crazy. So we got up and let Bella sleep until 8am.

I got max ready and then he and I went to Court’s house. Max got to meet Mary, Court’s mom, and court got to see max again. I think she has seen him every month since he’s been born. It was a nice but short visit. I hope to get over there again with Bella next time.

After there I ran to get my mom and Bella, who was now dressed. Together we went to Noah’s baptism. It was nice to see my friends, but I didn’t stay long and tried to avoid people due to my wonderful cold. GRR.

Our next stop was to get Bella’s hair cut. I was worried how she would do, but she did great. she acted like a pro! We then went on to my sister’s for lunch and to celebrate my mom’s birthday. it was great to see the family. Bella had a blast with her cousins. Max slept almost the whole time. Tracey, mom , Max and I went to cosco (so in love btw) leaving Bella to hang out with Sara, elly and Drew.  Then it was time to say goodbye and head back home.

Weekly Post Feb 13-17th

 

Monday was catch up date. I worked on cleaning up from the weekend. Max picked up my cold, so he was a little grumpy. Bella spend a lot of her day with daddy. It started to snow, so Max and I had to stay bundled up in the house.

Bella had a party at school so I was able to go to part of  that. Max’s cold seems to be worst today, so he’s been sleeping most of the day. We got our heart shaped pizza from happy joe’s. We have a few traditions that started on a whim when josh and I were dating, heart shaped pizza would be one of them. The rest of the day was busy. We got a load of hay for the dry cows, so josh milked as fasted as he could so he would be able unload the  hay when it came. Unloading the hay made for a late day

Wedensday we went to the library. We didn’t spend as much time there as the week before, but a lot of our friends were there, so it still a good time. I stopped at Kwik Trip to pick up lunch ($1 chicken sandwiches) and then it was back home for naps. I ended up relaxing and holding max for his nap, as his cold is still bothering him. After both kids were awake Josh asked if We would all be able to come out and help with chores tonight. So off we went. Max had his first night of chores. He did great. we set up the pack n play with a swing in it and he took a nice long nap. By the time he woke up, I was done with all I could do for Josh and headed inside to feed Max and get stuff ready.

Thursday was another school day. Only it was a busy morning for everyone. Josh had an eye doctor’s appointment (Good bye sunglasses..hello Josh’s eyes!). Normally I just hang out at home with max, but he was very fussy, so we got ready for the day and headed up to town. While Max napped, Josh and I worked on fixing up more of the Lancaster house. When I went to get Bella I was able to see more of Bella’s class songs and video them. Then it was home for lunch and naps. We spend another night out in the barn. It’s great to be back out in the barn.

Friday  was a very busy day. we spend most of it getting ready for Max’s baptism. My mom came down to help out. I also went to get Max’s 3 month pictures done.

Max 3 months old

Max you are 3 months old today!!! You weight about 12 lbs (12.5lbs via the wii fully clothed with your cloth diaper on) and are 23 inches long!!

you wear size 1 diapers and mid rise cloth diapers. Mommy is trying to do more and more cloth diapers. you are in 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes. I’m packing away more and more each time I do the laundry.

Your eyes are still blue, just as your sisters were/are and you still have some of the dark hair. By this age your sister’s was completely gone!

Your sleep is pretty good. You sleep 6-7 hours at night then another  2-3 after a quick feeding. Your naps during the day seem to range from an hour to 4 hours depending on what we are doing. We seem to get a nap about an hour after you wake up, then another one around 10am, then one around 2 and the last one around 5pm. You still sleep the best swaddled, but for naps I often let you just be wrapped in a blanket. I think your longest naps are in the car seat, even if it’s just sitting in the house!

You eat about 6 –7 times a day. 90% of it is nursing and 99% is breastmilk. We have really cut back on the formula, only on a rare occasions. But it’s great that you will still drink it. I hope you ended up eating like your dad and not me and your sister.

When you are awake you are up and ready. You love to sit in the bumbo while we eat our meals. You will stare at Daddy or smile at Bella. If you aren’t in the bumbo you are sitting on daddy’s lap just eyeing up the food on his plate. Sometimes you try to “read’ the paper with him. We got a jumperoo for you and you love it since you can “stand” in it. You think it’s the world and love it even more when Bella will play the toys on it. We have a pillow under your feet so when you push down on your feet you get to “jump”

Big news: You can roll over from your tummy to your back! this often means Tummy time last for about a minute. You also are big into rolling on to your side when on your back. I wonder if you will roll over the other way by next month.

In the last couple days you are have really been big into bring things to your mouth. before it was just your hands, but now it will be just about anything. Your favorite thing is your yellow ducky. You just light up when you see it. You already are chewing on his arms.

You have been out to the barn for chores now and even have your own little place in the barn. Just like your big sister did.  There is a cow next to the pack n Play who seems to watch over you, Friendly. brings back lots of memories. When you aren’t napping I’ve got you in the baby carrier. you fall fast asleep while I’m working on scraping the walk or pushing up feed.

Another first for you was getting to meet Bucisa. You did great on the long car ride and while we were visiting. You were all smiles.  we also did our first night away from home to Nana’s house. You went to bed a little later than normal, but slept great. You got to hang out with your friend M, who we were holding hands with already! You had your first visit to Aunt tracey’s house, where Bucky, the dog, decided he wanted to share your nuk. Yep you are still using a nuk. (not the same one as bucky, that one got thrown away) Another first was going to the zoo!! You slept through the whole thing!

We had your three month pictures done too! You did awesome! You were all smiles. Also I saw how far you can hold yourself up when you are on your tummy.

A typical day for you

6:30/7am Wake up… breakfast for you. followed by playtime with Bella on mommy’s bed.

8am/8:30am… daddy comes in and the rest of us eat breakfast. Get you dress for the day. sometimes you will have a cat nap .

9am…. morning snack for you then it’s off to nap. This is normaly your longest nap of the day.

12pm/1pm wake up and lunch for you. this is followed by playtime until you are tired again for a nap.

3/4pm .. up again and afternoon snack for you.  we have some playtime and then it’s out to the barn to either visit daddy or help him out.

5pm another nap This is the shortest nap of the day..only about 45mins to an hour

6pm/630pm up from nap and ready for you supper.  Then it’s about 30 mins of happy time before you get really cranky.

7/8pm you are just a cranky pants. we often move you around to different toys and parents.

8pm: get ready for bed, bedtime snack

9pm you are out cold, swaddled and in your bed.

10 pm cry out in your sleep but with the placement of the nuk in your mouth you go right back to sleep

3:30/4am wake up for some food and go right back to sleep!

 

The last month went by so quickly! I can’t wait to see what this month will bring. It seems each of these post get longer and longer!

Weekly update Feb 6th-Feb 10th

  Monday: Today I finally got caught up on the laundry. I’m also making some progress in the house. I missed the kids naptimes, as I ran to the grocery store, pharmacy, local kid’s store and to get my hair cut. OH it feels so great to not have the long hair anymore. It was my first time with a new hairdresser since I was 16. This one is a classmate of Josh’s and she was great!!! Maybe I’ll get my hair cut more often. LOL

tuesday was a bad day.

Wednesday: After a very crummy tuesday, things turned around. Max woke up at 7am ate and went back down for a nap. Bella was in a good mood and listen to what I told her to do. We went to the library where we spend about 2 hours there. I was able to get some stuff done on the internet and bella got to play computer games. Max slept the whole time. We came home to lunch and more naps. Then we all went  out to the barn for a bit. I got some cleaning done and all and all it was a great day!

Thursday While Bella was at school today I got more cleaning done. Josh went to pick up a hamburger order and then came home and hung out with max. I went to pick up Bella from school and we stopped at Pamida to get some Valentines. Then home again where both of my children slept for 2 hours!! Max actually slept for 4 hours. I think we might in a growth spurt. All he wants to do is eat and sleep.

Friday was a very busy day. We woke up to hearing about the snow everyone else was getting. By the time we got the car all loaded up it was flurrles by us. We headed towards the snow.. silly us, but it was for good reason.  We first stopped to get Max and Bellas pictures done. Diane joined us too! THe kids did great with the pictures, so as a treat we went to Mc dee’s. Once the sun was out, I headed on my way to lake mills. Next stop was at Tori’s. It was great to get to see her and Dylan. Next stop was my mom’s for supper. then it was off to see our friends E and M. We haven’t seen them in a while and Bella was so excited.
