Happy Birthday to me!

Monday was the first day of Spring break. School was so nice to give me and Bella the week off for me birthday  

In the morning Josh let me sleep in,he also took off the day. Then he took Max to the store and gas station to fill up my car. they came back with a present and flowers. Max wanted to give me the all green ones, but Josh conviced  him to get some with another color. Then we had a yummy breakfast. Josh worked on finishing up the trailer box he was making and I packed us all up.

We left just before lunchtime to go to the Deer Valley Lodge. I was hoping to stop at Ella’s Deli for lunch, but Max feel asleep and I knew he need a nap more. so we just went through the drive-thru and headed to the hotel. I had called ahead to find out we could check in early.

So once we arrived we headed straight for the pool. There was a kiddie pool, a 3-5 ft pool and two big slides. Bella loved the slides and max loved “swimming” There was a few annoying kids, so we went back to our room to enjoy the whirlpool tub.  In the end I’m not sure which they enjoyed more.

We then decide to venture out to Mount Horeb to find Trolls and supper. We had to make a stop at at the pharmacy to get bandaids for bella’s toe. She cut it on the slide. Then walked around downtown before going to Grumpy Troll for supper. It was very yummy food, even the kids enjoyed it.

We got back to the hotel and headed back to the pool, but boy it was cold! Bella just did the slides and max just wanted to swim. We didn’t last long before we went back to the room to use the whirlpool tub instead.

Once the kids were all wrinkly, we put on pj’s and a dvd in our room and let the kids fall asleep in there, while Josh enjoy the tub. We got the kids moved and even though both of us were tired we had to stay up watching tv, only because we could since we were in different rooms.

Easter Hunt 2.0

So Sunday we loaded up and headed to my sister’s for easter with my family. It was a rainy cold day, so the egg hunt was move indoors to the basement. Good thing they have a large basement.  THe kids had fun looking for the eggs and baskets and playing with the new stuff. Ok, So my kids got toys, the big ones didn’t. LOL

Then we went upstairs to eat a yummy lunch and dye eggs. That went way quicker this year. I think as the kids get older it goes quicker and quicker.

We had the guys judge the eggs.. Andy choose Drew’s Egg and Josh picked mine.. they didn’t know before hand who made each egg.

The guys ended up playing basketball and pool, the kids played and Tracey and talked until iit was a wee bit late for us. Totally forgetting we had chores, and church yet.  So we left, Josh did chores while both my kids took naps. We had a quick supper and headed off to church and social after church

Egg hunt 1.0

Our first egg hunt of the season was in Watertown. It was a little chilly but we bundled up to go. The kids were on opposites of the park, so that made it a bit rough. Max did ok, but the bigger kids got most of the eggs. Bella was too scared or shy to go run for eggs, so no luck there either. thankfully they have a line where you can get some extra goodies.  Then the kids went to my mom’s while Josh and I did some shopping. Once we got home, our friends came over to learn chores for while we would be gone  The kids had a blast playing and were running all over!

 

what a week

Gee, So I was all about catching up on blogging and stay more current, then we had a busy but dull week.

Max had speech Wednesday and Thursday due to his teacher being off on Monday. That meant we had two days at home with not other commitments until work. I spent it cleaning. We also went outside more, to check on the chicks, who are growing quickly.  Also it meant that Max didn’t want to nap much in the beginning of the week, which made going to daycare rough. Max did do go overall, but I hate seeing him sad when we pull int the parking lot.

Wednesday came we had mom’s group in the morning, and then speech, where Max did really good. At least that’s not been a struggle. we got home fro lunch and then it was off to work. Josh picked up the kids and by the time I got home it supper and bed. I hate how quickly the evenings go with me working. I can’t wait for summer and no more of me working and josh will be home by 3.

Thursday was church and speech which was another crazy busy morning. But come afternoon, Max was able to come to work with me. He really enjoys that and playing at preschool.

Friday Was a lazy morning at home with Max but we had to be at school by 2 to watch stations of the cross. This meant a short nap since we didn’t want to go down early enough. But Max did great. We sat with the preschoolers and Max enjoyed it. He also got to go play in preschool, which was fun. We were so happy when Friday was done, as ti meant we were on spring break!
