Then the Heat Came!

So this last week it’s been a heat wave! I think we had a wee bit of relief on Thursday and Friday, but the humidity came right back. This basically meant we chilled in the house most of the time.  We did venture out to our pool a couple times, but it was just too much for me to load up the car, drive in the heat, unload the car to enjoy the pool in town. High Heat and Me just don’t get along. LOL

 

I was going through Baby stuff.. and Bella wanted to pretend to be a baby too. I think that bib fits her better now then it did when she was a baby!

 

Pepper has been in the house with us the whole time too. Silly puppy managed to rip out some stitches by over doing it.. so looks like we have another week or more of her in the house with us. Btw Pepper has quickly figured out how to get food from Bella, just sit and stare at her.

I think this was the hottest day of hte week, Bella went outside at 8am. She lasted a whole 15 mins before it was too hot for her!

 

Together we worked on some learning books. This one was about same and different. The Hammer she colored almost perfectly!

I got her these letter beads at a rummage sale and she loves them!  I need to see if they still make them since she is missing a few of them

We did brave the heat one day to do lunch with daddy. Bella got to get Ice cream!

 

I found some computer games for Bella. She’s not really used the mouse before this, but she figured it so quickly. So now she wants to play Jumpstart Preschool every day!

I need to do something with bella’s hair or have her let me do something with it every day. So i had a wee bit of fun while she wasn’t paying attention. This lasted about 2 mins before she took it out. :(

So last week was kind of a crazy busy week.

Monday was a normal day, probably the only one we had. We had to run to town as a family. It was also a day to see how Bella did in just underwear and it was a complete flop!!

Tuesday we went to playgroup and had fun with our friends. WE also stopped at the library to drop off books. Then spent the rest of the day outside.  Aunt Kara come over to babysit Bella, so Josh and I could go out to eat on a date night, It also doubled as my birthday date. We went out to the Brewery and had some yummy food.

Wednesday we went to Madison to meet up for lunch with my friend Courtney. We went to Buffalo wild wings! IT was really yummy. Bella got Mac n Cheese that she loved. We then headed over to Aunt Diane’s for a visit with her. Bella had a good time as did I. We also hit up Target and Nicki’s diapers(swim diaper and nail polish). It was great day in Madison, but left Bella and I both really tired.

Thursday was Happy Birthday to me!  The day started out kind of rough in terms of lack of sleeping.  We hung out outside for while before Bella went down for a nap. Once she woke up we all loaded up and headed to Platteville.  We had to make a couple of stops..one being at Dairy queen to get me my ice cream cake! Then we headed to get my birthday present..which was a new puppy! We got Pepper who’s around 3 months old. She’s 1/2 lab and 1/2 Walker coon hound.  She whined pretty much the whole way home, but once we got home she quickly tired out and slept.  She’s afraid of the barn, but quickly figured out that Cole and the Cats were interesting.

Friday..april fool’s day. Mother Nature played a mean joke on us and we had some snow!  Poor Pepper didn’t like it and I didn’t like taking her outside to go potty every hour.  We ran to town with Josh for a few things and took Pepper with us. She did much better in the truck this time. We stopped at Ihm’s and the kids had fun playing with the puppy.

Walking Around

So three weeks ago I started a Couch to 5K walking program. It’s been going really well. I have a week left before I start with running. Bella has been coming with me on most of my walks and really enjoys “backpack walks”  It’s also nice to check out the farm and chat with Bella. She’s a real chatterbox these days. I swear she knows more words that we have taught her.
