New home for the chicks
So Josh finally got a new coop bulit for the meat chicks. We couldn’t put them with the egg layers since they are free range and we can do that to our meat birds. the pen they were in they out grew. It took about a week, but Josh got it built and in place. Complete with a rainbow and all!
not the same day, but Bella’s cute hair and Max helping me to plant my bleeding heart plant.
The kids tried to help moving the birds, but these birds aren’t people friendly and almost bigger, or bigger then our egg layers.

Wonderful weekend
This weekend was a blast and just what a weekend should be. Josh didn’t have to work overtime so we were all home, all weekend.
Friday night we ended up playing outside and down by the cows. We had a bonfire that the kids loved in the cow yard.
We started out with Josh working down in the shop and my mom came to pick up me and the kids to check out the rummage sale at school. We kind of had to rush, but we manged to check out the rummage sale, got some good deals and goodies before rushing to Bella’s gymanstics class.
It was the last class so she got to do whatever she wanted and parents could come take pictures. Also her and her friend finally got to be together.
Josh and max were going to come in to watch but max was napping and cranky when he woke up. When it was all done we headed home to play and normal weekend clean up.
We spent so much time outside knowing that sunday the weather wasn’t going to be that great.
Grilling out and getting all the toys out. We ran to menards to get play sand for the sandbox. That made the day!
Sunday was chilly. We decided to do church first then we went to watertown. We went to Mom’s because Max wanted to spend time at Nana’s house. Mom watched the kids while Josh and I ran to farm and fleet. Then we got back and Josh did some fixing of stuff for mom, while Mom, bella and I ran back to farm and fleet. There was a coat there for next winter, but I wanted Bella to try it on first. Then we got back to eat lunch. While we were gone, Josh called to tell me max fell asleep sitting at the table. So he napped while we ate. Then Josh and I went to walmart on the hunt for sandals for Bella. No luck but I suggested going to tractor supply to see if they had a skid steer to replace one of max’s that got ran over.
No luck with the toy, but we did find they have baby chicks. Josh saw they were only 1.00 a chick for some and 1.99 for others.. so before I knew it we were loading up 29 chicks, feed and lamps. We quickly got the kids from mom’s house before heading home to set up a place for the chicks.
That was the rest of our night, before the normal getting ready to go back to school and work.
