Happy Birthday Josh and Bella

THis wasn’t a birthday for the record books by any means. We dropped Bella off early to go to Totus Tuus. Then Josh, Max , Cole, Pepper and I loaded up and headed for the farm. Josh has work to do and I as going in hopes to find spunky. She ran off on josh on Tuesday morning and we hoped going back that she would comeback. We lost our kittens too, no clue here they went. Josh didn’t know about a spot that they could climb up under his truck, so there is a possibility that’s where they went. Most likely they were unharmed in the travels, but no idea where they ended up. It’s very sad to lose them. I’m kicking myself for not bring them on Saturday, but maybe it’s what is for the best.

We got to the farm and Max has fallen asleep, so Josh took him to run some errands while I stayed at the house trying to get Spunky to come back, no luck with the kittens either. This is when I realized we wouldn’t find them. Even the set of four that were born just a week later, couldn’t be found. IT was kind of depressing. Josh came back and we went to see if the neighbor had seen here and I walked the woods looking for her, but no lucky.

Josh worked at getting the auger set up and max woke up. Then the two of us were done. We managed to find Gus and Oreo and get them in the cat carrier to bring them home instead. Before we had the kittens they were the two I was going to bring. Josh wasn’t a fan of the idea as they aren’t big mousers and love to try to get in the house, but we have grown up with them. I think it was God trying to tell me I need to bring these two in the first place. I felt down about leaving with out spunky knowing it would be a while before I could get back to the farm again.

WE got back late and had to get Bella. Then went to visit Josh’s new boss and his new shop. We did chores first and then tried to go to supper, but no no. Max was out of control from the crazy day. I thought supper would be a bust, but turned out ok. we went to pick out a cake, to which Bella was upset there was no princesses on it.  Josh was cranky due to all the stress from the move and needing to be in two places at once. It was just a day I was ready to have over.  Josh has wheat to combine, but clearly can’t be in two places at once nor can we afford the gas to travel back and forth twice a day.

WE did gifts for Bella before bed and then had another late night.  not a great day, but I think overall Bella had fun. We also have some weekend birthday celebrations coming up .

A quiet week

So last week was a quiet week. The weather wasn’t the greatest so we just did our normal thing with a few exceptions.

On Monday, my mom came down to bring more rummage sale stuff. Also she dropped off the Easter baskets for my family Easter.  We went to Platteville where I scored on clearance clothes. We also found some good thrift store finds too!

Tuesday and Wednesday were normal days…of playgroup and storytime. we had missed last week so it was so nice to see the friends again!

Thursday night, I got to go out with the girls.  We had a great time down in Dubuque. I finally got some Olive Garden! I loved the adult and mommy conversation too!

Friday was a get ready for people day.

I didn’t even take many pictures through out the week. I got one for every day, but that’s about it.

Laid back weekend

This weekend was on like we haven’t had in ages, a laid back weekend!  Saturday the biggest thing we had planned was a birthday party for a friend. Where i only took one picture. Oops. Bella looked so cute too and I think she had a lot of fun, if not she had a lot of sugar either way. I also had a great time with all the adults.  We stayed longer than planned, so Josh had to do chores by himself, but then for supper we grilled out hot dogs and brats.

Sunday we got up late, Bella decided to sleep in. I figured it was due to missing her nap on Saturday. But she was so grumpy! We went to church anyhow, which was pretty busy. Then went to the brunch at church afterwards and sat with some good friends. Bella ate great and did pretty well just sitting on our laps to eat. Then we came home, Bella went down for a nap while josh finished up his chores. Then Josh and i worked on starting to clean the basement for Easter this weekend.  Once Bella was up we brought her down with us, and then worked until it was time to go outside for a bit. The wind kept it a bit on the chilly side here, but  the sum made you want to be outside. :)

  and it’s kitten time… Friendly had 4, but i think we are down to three…On orange, one gray and white(aka Bashful’s child), and one black one (aka the icky black tom cat that is no longer with us’s child) then Muffy, wildish farm cat, had three kittens, one orange, two gray. kind of freaky!

A fun weekend

So this weekend was fun…simple but fun. Saturday I baked so our house was yummy smelling and there was treats for everyone! We were also awaiting for Aunt Cherry, Uncle Aeon, Ethan and Evander to arrive.

They didn’t make it until later in the day which was sad and meant I totally didn’t ahve my camera with. They came around chore time, so i was busy with that. Aunt Cherry promised to send me pictures at some point in time. Bella did enjoy playing with Ethan and Evander for the short time they got to play. THe boys loved the cats.  IT was a nice little visit and hopefully we will be able to see them again next year. They live in Florida so it’s hard to see them a lot. :(

Today BElla manged to sleep in til 7:30… well from 4:30 til 7:30 in our bed anyhow… but naturally it would be on the day i need her to be up. We have decided to attend 8:30 mass in lancaster as it seems to work otu better for Bella and leaves us enough time for the rest of the day.

So after a quick breakfest in which Bella drank her’s since she didn’t want to be spoonfed, we headed to church. It had rained over night so we had to take the truck. Naturally we were late by 5 mins, but it was ok as there is always enough room. We sat by some friends which was nice as they didnt’ mind a fussy baby. Bella is really into I wanna run around church stage.

After chruch she wanted to go home with our friends. it was too cute. I’m gald she likes so people outside of Josh and me. We also saw that Kidz Klozet was having a sale today, but wasn’t open yet.

Came home for Bella’s nap and me to read since it was a cloudy day. Josh worked on outside chores. After Bella’s nap and lunch we went back to town to get new shoes for Bella. I cna’t belive she will be switching over to size 6 already! And for the longest time she didn’t fit right into her size 0 crib shoes.

Bella was ready for her 2nd nap and I got a chance  to hang out with Josh by the time we got home. Then Bella finally got to go outside and play a little. JOsh came home with the tractor from feeding a round bale to the calves down the road(we dont have enought space for our young/dry cows :( ) and Bella got a tractor ride. She was so happy!  Bella even got to help me feed bottles to the calves. She let Taco suck on her mittens and thought that was the coolest thing ever!

Now after a nice supper, Bella is downstiars with daddy while i’m finishing up this blog post… with PICTURES!

I got my laptop out again and Bella got to play jumpstart baby… and she was a natural at it.

Snow days

So Winter has finally hit!

Tuesday the start of the snow came. Josh brought Bella and I into town to go to playgroup while he did some running of his own.  I could have made it in our car, but the roads were so poorly plowed and our driveway was jsut not something i wanted to mess with yet.

We did have fun at playgroup and Bella got to play round. Then we came home and attempted to prepare for the Big snow!  Bella got a taste of it as we attempted to walk to the barn for chores. IT was about to her knees so it make it hard for her to walk. But she decided to just crawl instead. Glad to know she hasn’t forgotten.

I should mention that she has been a little monster latly, two naps a day or one nap a day. She’s into everything and nothing that is for her keeps her interest…any suggustions anyone??

Today we woke up to way too much snow, at least a foot when Josh came in the house for Breakfest. I”m pretty sure we have more than that now.  Bella went out for about 10 mins to play in the carport area with the snow, becuase she couldn’t get past the drift.

We’ve been staying inside attemping to play. But are both going stir crazy! Josh has been moving snow. He even went up to Lancaster today to move the snow at hte house up there. So if you saw a JOhn Deere tractor in town between 10:30 and 1:00 it was him. LOL
