Our Highlights

Tuesday our highlight was our play date with our buddies Kate and Lisa.

 

 

Wednesday highlight was gymnastics!

Monday Oct 28th Jack O Lanterns and the Dentist

Monday was a busy day. I tried to spend the day time getting the house back in order, but didn’t do so well. I did get laundry done though. It didn’t help that Josh was home and kept coming in an out. He did come at 2:30 to get Max, so I go to town to get Bella. We both had dentist appointments after school. Since I made the appointment for 3:30, we had some time to waste, so we walked to the bakery to picked up the mug that bella had won. Not the most exciting thing for a 5 year old, but hey, she won something. I also let her pick out two cookies for after her appointment. One for her and one for max.

At the denstist, Bella did great! She was a chatty cathy with everyone. Anyone remember the shy little girl I use to have, yeah I’m rarely seeing her these days. But she went back for her cleaning and xrays all by herself. I went back shortly afterwards. She got done about 10 mins before me, but just sat in the chair and watched tv until she could come in by me. She got a very great report. Me not so much, a small cavity is starting, so I need to go back to have that filled. Blah!

We got home and Max was super clingy even though he got a cookie. So while Josh milked the kids and hung out in bed watching a movie. Smart me had put a roast in the crockpot, so supper was all ready when the guys got in to eat.

While we at supper, we decided to carve our pumpkins. That was a messy event. We did it on the floor, which worked out nice for the kids. We let the kids each do a “mr. potato head” pumpkin and then they helped us do jack o lanterns. our pictures with the pumpkins didn’t really turn out, but here’s hoping I can get better ones before Halloween!

Trick or Treat

So I almost forgot to post about the weekend. Saturday was a busy day. I went out with my aunt first thing in the morning to a few stores looking for a couple items for the kids and she had a few stores to hit. Then we had lunch quickly before my aunt came back over and we all piled into her car heading towards Pewaukee. We were able to visit with my sister for a bit which was really nice. We also went Costco leaving Bella with Sara and Uncle Andy. Only one kid along made things a little easier. After shopping there, Mom, Dar , max and I ran into Toy R us. Dar found something to get max for Christmas and wanted to know if it was right. So I think we managed to do that store in 20 mins. Then back to my sister’s to get bella, before heading back to watertown. Once we got home we had to go back out as my mom needed something from Shopko and I watned to go grocery shopping. I love Pick N save. Their prices are so much cheaper and the food is better then our local stores. I think finally around 6:30 we made it home for good. We were all to be and sleeping by 9pm LOL

Sunday we started out busy again. We went out to ShopKo because they had friends and family sale, and Bella needed another set of sheets for her bed.  Then came back to my mom’s for a nap for max before going over to Hannah’s house for the kids to play. They didn’t get to play long, but still had fun. We also had lunch there too. max loved Hannah’s corn hot dog muffins. Once we left there, we picked up my mom and headed down to court’s house to visit and start our trick or treating. We walked her subdivison and the kids had a blast. We could hae stopped there. Then it was on to visit Nikki, who we missed, and a family friend before our last stop at my Aunt’s house. The kids had a good time, but were tired and slept a good portion of the way home. We met up with Josh in Mt. Hoerb to swtich us out. I spent all of Josh’s milking unloading the car and putting away stuff. The Kids were so happy to see daddy and enjoyed our Pumpkin shaped Pizza!

In the moment

So my goal for this week to write a paragraph of what we did each day as it happens vs waiting two weeks to catch up. I’m currently a week behind, so I’m praying I can get this done and remember more then I will about the week before .  Check out the week before here:

Monday was spent recovering from the weekend. When we are all home, all weekend, the house gets crazy. The whole family went to take Bella to school and then made a deliver of some meat to a friend,. From there it was too the bank and gas station before coming home. Josh took Max out for a ride on the tractor while started on the laundry and pick up. Not sure why I bothered to pick up as Max had other ideas when he returned. I put him down for nap and then got some downtime for me. After lunch Josh hung around in the house with us. max really loved having daddy around. Max went down for a 2nd nap when I went to go get Bella from school. I then had to wake him up at 4 so that he would sleep come bedtime. He was in pretty rough shape until Daddy came in the house, but supper and bath made things better. We all were happy for bed time to come. Bella’s got a loose tooth that could fall out any day now

Tuesday. I took bella to school this morning and then Max and I met up with some mommy friends. Max is getting better and better at playing with the kids each time. He ended up eating two hash browns and 2.5 cookies too. Then he stayed awake the whole way home.Daddy met up with us at the house and helped to put max down for nap. Max is suddenly big into both of us putting him down for naps. Then I started the laundry. I had 4 loads to fold and three loads to wash. I should space it out for another day, but eh, get it done and over with right?  Max wakes up just before noon and Josh came in for Lunch. Josh again hung out in the house for a bit. He offered to keep max, while I ran in to get Bella from school. Came home to find that Bella hasn’t lost the tooth yet. She was kind of upset about it still there. The kids enjoy playing outside, and watching the new movies from when bella and I stop at the library at the way home. I managed to make Dinner and have it all ready for the guys when they got in at 6. Bella took an hour to eat, while josh vaumn up the bugs in the basement and I worked on the clothes that were still in the baskets.The tooth came out (more on that here) and to bed for everyone!

Wednesday: My goal was to get the house in order, but I left Josh with Max and took Bella to school and went I returned Max was napping, so yeah pretty limited on what I got done. Max and I did end up going to storytime, which Max wasn’t really a fan of until about the time we left. He’s just been such a cranky pants We came home to lunch time where  then an 2nd nap, before I had to wake him again to go get Bella. Well first I had to run some errands for school and then pick up Bella. Max did great watching tv in the car while we stop and started a lot. Once Bella got home, she had and early supper before getting ready for gymnastics. Max went out to the barn with daddy while we were gone. Bella did great in class, and then it was home for a late supper and bed.

Thursday was a busy busy day. In the morning, I went along with Bella on her class field trip to the pumpkin barn,. It was pretty chilly, but Bella and the kids had a great time. They came home with a little pumpkin, which they left at school for a science project. Bella returned back to classes at lunchtime and I went home to Josh and Max. Josh went off to get some stuff done while I stayed with Max. Diane showed up soon after and we had a good time visiting and playing. She , so kindly, stayed home with max while I picked up bella. Then all four of us had a good time. Bella loves the one on one attention she gets. We all had supper together after Josh was done Milking. Diane left just before bed and then peace for the night.

 

Friday was suppose to be my morning to make sure the house was in shape, Guess what, didn’t happen. Max refused to nap. even worst refused to let me leave his touch. So yeah very little got done. My mom arrived around 11am and that helped a bit. Together, we worked to pick up the backyard, in hopes to mow it one last time. Then we had a quick lunch before Josh loaded up max to run errands, while Mom and I went to Bella’s school. It was grandparent’s day. The teacher’s asked for some help, so I volunteered. IT was fun to go and watch Bella with her grandparents. I also was able to get some pictures too. once that was over, Mom, Bella and I stopped at the bakery and toy store to check out there grand opening events. Then it was back home. Last minute I decided to head home with my mom to go to Watertown's trick or treat. . I’m bummed that every town around here has trick or treat on Halloween night. Sorry but it’s almost Milking time, and I’m not ready to take the kids by myself. I love them, but I’m still not comfortable with the area to lug my two kids around, one who is very unpredictable.  So we loaded up Mom’s car and headed to Watertown just before suppertime. We stopped at Mcdee’s for supper and continued on the way. Bella fell asleep, but thankfully max did not. Once we got to mom’s the kids were wide awake. I made a run to Wal-Mart for a few things we forgot and then came back to put the kids to bed. I think we were all in bed by 9pm. that’s a record for mom’s house.
