This was the first weekend in more then a month that we didn’t head east for the weekend. Which was probably a good thing. With my mood still not the greatest and the weather has sticky and rainy, staying home was a good choice. I decided at 8am on Saturday morning I wanted to set up a pool for the kids. Slight problem, all of ours are in Watertown or the lodge. I also didn’t want to run to Platteville as we had just been there a few days earlier. So we called up Grandpa to see if he was coming to visit and if he would pick up a pool for us. Lucky for us he and Grandma Judy were planning to come early afternoon because Hershey was being picked up. With selling the farm, we won’t be able to keep Hershey with us anymore, so Judy found her a new home with family in Watertown. Since Tony and Lou were coming from Watertown, I got my mom to take some totes that she picked up for me to their house for them to bring down for me. I need the totes to do some more packing.
Tony and Lou arrived first so we had a nice visit with them before grandpa and grandma Judy arrived. Bella got to hang out with grandma Judy and Hershey one more time. Max slept though most of the visit. But we got the pool set up right away and the kids had to test it out. It was a lot of fun for them. But note to self, Next house had a hot water faucet on the outside.
We also hit up church Saturday night, so we could take Sunday to do something fun as a family.
Sunday we got up and going, and heading to Dubuque. It’s a good thing too, as bad weather moved in. Blah! But we hit up target, which was sold out of most of the stuff I wanted, but then went to lunch at HyVee. That was yummy. then it was on to Jumping Jane’s. It wasn’t as big of a hit as it was the first time. Max was a bit more scared, which meant an adult had to go with him. even Bella didn’t care to climb up as much, but maybe she was just tired as it was warm in there. We left there to beat the storm home and had two kids pass out in the car. We mange to beat the storm, thank goodness.
