Thursday, November 1

Nov 1st.. The deer that played chicken with the car and lost.

So November started off with a bang. We were running behind as normal, and it was a church day. So as we start going we get about two miles from home and WHAM! A deer came out of nowhere and tried to out run our car. Guess what, he didn’t win. So Josh pulled over and called the sheriff to file a report. Turns out we were number 4 of people hitting deer at 7:45am. I had to call Bella’s school to let them know she would be late since we had to wait for the cop and for our truck to get to us. We had Jeremy bring us the truck and drive the car back home. The car was drivable but Josh wasn’t sure what , if anything, was wrong on the inside so it was safer to take the truck.

We made it to church a wee bit late and Bella went to sit with her class. Then I realized she hasn’t use the potty so I had to go get her again and then she refused to sit anywhere but with her teacher. Then after mass I went back with her to her classroom to drop off her bag and coat.  Josh  and I along with Max, then headed back home .  Oh first we stopped at our Auto Body place to check with him to see what type of time frame we would be looking at. We call the insurance and got things moving. By the time we picked Bella up from school, the whole class was interested in the deer.

the rest of the afternoon was our normal nap time and chores.

A crazy afternoon

jan update 103

So friday afternoon things got crazy in the house. Bella was just a handful and nothing but what she wasn’t suppose to get into or do was what she did.

As a distraction i decided to make sugar cookies with her. SHe had a blast with cutting out the stars and putting her figures in it. Then the big problem came when she discovered she could eat it. (no raw egg in it, so it’s safe) I managed to make probably three dozen little star cookies before she got to too much dough.

Then while I was cleaning up, I let Bella watch a little tv. Well in the couple mins i was gone she found some tums that must have been in the closet that feel out of my overnight bag at some point in time. She managed to get at least 10 of them in her mouth, those would be the 10 i pulled out. I don’t think she got anymore or ate any, but called up good ol’ poison control to be on the safe side.  Oh the joys of parenting.

by the time I was off the phone with poison control Josh was ready to take Bella outside for chores. Bella came out again to help with bottles, only it was really icy, so the poor kid kept slipping and falling down. I tired to get a few pictures of her “helping” to feed the calves.

The rest of the night went ok.

Fall is here!

So fall is only a week late.  IT started to cool off on saturday, good thing I got out Bella’s fall clothes.  But it wasn’t really til Monday that it got really chilly and windy.

Monday I did a major cleaning of hte house. I rearraged Josh’s and mine Bedroom all by myself.  It’s so nice. I’m trying to work on decluttering.  So right now it’s pretty clean! Bella’s not so sold on it since now she has to climb up one end to get on the bed and then turn to the side to see the tv.  But we added her rocking chair in our room for her so she can read books, play with toys, or whatever too.

Bella was kind of in a mood yesterday, and did all her naps early. But Grandma(judy) came to visit. Bella really enjoyed that. Grandma gave her a pony ride on Hershey.  In the last couple of weeks Bella has acutally like the pony. Or else just hanging out with the pony with Grandma has helped her like the pony.

I also got Bella’s chair fixed up and hopefully we won’t scratch it again.

Daddy is working on chopping Corn, so we got to ride along for some loads and play in the cornlige. Bella loved picking out the cobs that didn’t get all the way chopped up.  Bella didn’t enjoy being all bundled up. I had to put her mittens on her and she hated that!  So we helped with getting in the cows. They were really dumb and didn’t want to stay in the stalls becuase they didn’t like the food in front of them Out in the cow yard was some of the freash cornlige, so yeah they didn’t like the  stuff in the barn.

Josh was able to get 23 loads in the silo and he hopes to have it full with 12 more loads today.   We only have touched the fields in the bottom which mean we should be able to sell some corn to pay off debts. :)

Today was playgroup. It was a smaller group, but bella had a good time. She would play with the kids and then go off on her own and then back. we did music time this week, and bella was so so on it.  We did have on incident where bella fell and hit her eye on a toy, i just pray for no black  eye. she was a troop though and only cried for a min or two, got her nuk and went off to play again. I  got to talk to other mom’s and talk about some issues with Bella that i didn’t know what to do, and that helped a lot. Also I get to join the book club!  Things are looking up i think.

Before leaving town, bella and I had to hit up Dick’s Piggly Wiggly for food and stuff for Nikki’s baby shower. I’m really loooking forward to this weekend!

Friends, crazy days and teeth

Yesterday, Josh Bella and I headed to Madison to help our buddies the Zoellick's move. Bella and I were hoping to hit up the zoo with Hannah and Ella while the men did the work of moving. Well that didn't happen. :( Bella and I got to supervise the loading of all the furniture into the Trucks and Trailer. Then when we arrived at the new house, Hannah and Ella were there. Only Bella and I didn't have much time since Josh wanted to stop at Gander Mountain and I at Toy R Us.
So Hannah and I got the girls loaded up into their respective strollers to check out the little playground in Eric and Katie's new neighborhood.  That didn't last long due to sun and no shade for the girls. So back to the house we went. Then we decided to head up to the mall for lunch. We would be Josh, Bella, Hannah, Ella, John (Ella's daddy), me and the rest of the guys who were helping to move. Poor Katie was at work so I didn't get to see her. :(
Once at the mall, all the guys but Josh went to Buffalo wild wings, and the remaining at at the mall food court. Josh got done eating first so he went to Dick's Sporting Goods. Apparently Gander Mountain has moved and we had no idea where too. He manged to find the new hunting gun that he wanted. Well it took him forever to get it. So Hannah and I walked around JcPenny's with the girls. We almost got the girls pictures taken together. The man there was really rude and acted like it would be a crime if we wanted our kids pictures taken 30 mins before they closed.
Josh finally meet up with us at 4pm, so we said our goodbyes and headed home. Thankfully Jeremy had started milking for Josh so it wasn't a really late night. Bella didn't get much sleep in terms of naps, so she went to bed early and josh and I had supper jsut the two of us. :)
Today has not gone right. Bella woke up clingy. She did eat a good breakfast but other than that she didsn't want to be alone. So we were working on folding the clothes while she watched Noggin. Well Bella come over to help and somehow hit her front tooth on the trunk at the end of our bed. It took me forever to figure out what she hurt. Then trying to get some advice was hard.  The doctor took two hours to get back to me, my husband wasn't answering his phone, my mom was gone too. Oh it was crazy!  But Bella seems to be doing ok. We just have to watch the tooth. I"m praying big time that it doesn't die or fall out. She's got at least 4-5 years before the perement one would come in. Also her baby tooth isn't even all the way in.
But Bella went down for a nap and did better. She wasn't big into eating lunch, and is fussy now, but I think that is from her runny nose. Poor kid can't seem to get away from her runny nose. :(
Praying tonight is better.
