So you already saw part of my weekend in Watertown, but we did a whole lot more then just visit the new baby. First up was Carroll College(university's) homecoming. Oh wait, first up was a visit to my sister’s house. We were able to see her and my nieces for a bit. We hadn’t seen them in awhile and won’t see them until thanksgiving. 2nd up was lunch with Andi Jo. We haven’t seen her in ages and I can’t remember the last time I had a meal with her, so we met up at a really yummy Mexican restaurant just down the street from Carroll. I wish my kids would have enjoyed the food more, but I got to enjoy it for a bit. It was nice to visit for a short time. She then found me a really close parking spot so that we could get to the parade on time.
We met up with Stacy and Jake for the parade. We got there about 5 mins before it was to start. Two minutes later it started to rain. Thankfully they postponed for a couple minutes because the rain let up and we were able to go out and enjoy what little of the parade was left. Bella got a bunch of candy with the help of Stacy. we walked around campus for a little bit. not as enjoyable when it’s raining and chilly out. got a few pictures before saying our good byes.
Then it was back to mom’s house where we stopped for a snack and potty break before heading over to Madeline’s 2nd birthday party. The kids had a good time for most of it. Bella a better time then max. Poor Max was so overwhelmed and then his teeth and lack of real sleep meant he was just finished. Once we left there, we went back to mom’s for supper and relax. Ok The kids relaxed. I left with them mom and headed to visit Nikki , josh and Balin. You know what happened there already. Then finally I got home and ready for bed.
Sunday was another crazy day. We decided to go to the pumpkin patch in the area. I was bummed that Bella didn’t get to go to one for school, (well later found out they are going to the pumpkin patch, just didn’t tell us right away) I wanted to take fun pictures, but Max wasn’t a fan of it. Oh well. Tori met up with us and we had a fun walking around. My kids were in love with the calf, goats, ducks and chickens… to which I had to laugh. Once Max was done, we headed back to my mom’s house. tori followed and so we got to visit with her a bit longer. I went back up after lunch to visit with Nikki again before loading up and heading back to my actual house!
Look Max has a hall named after him…. too bad it’s being torn down next year. LOL Yes it took me almost 2 years to realize it.
at Nana’s anything goes..including painting pumpkins at 8am while still in your jammies
A visit to Aunt Darlene’s means Bella gets to make new pictures
